@Archangel3371: once again, switch + pc proves itself to be the best combo this gen.
Switch may be low powered, but there are just so many good exclusives to be had, and that can be played while camping to boot.
Agreed. Yes the Switch is weak, but its versatility, portabiliy and great library of games keep me coming back. If I need graphics and high framerates, I have my RTX 4080 for that.
Switch + PC is best.
PS5 only has two games I'm interested in and they're coming to PC anyway.
The best selling console is going to the Switch and it sports the weakest of the weakest hardware.😊
The Tegra X1 has double the GPU performance compared to the PS3 while only consuming 10 watts. The Switch has among the best performance per watt of any console ever made.
Crazy to me that there people out there that think the Switch is weaker than a PS2.
The Switch is able to run games like Dragon's Dogma, Dark Souls and Crysis at a higher resolution and framerate than the PS3. And in FP16, the Switch has over double the floating point performance of the RSX and Cell combined. The Wii U already had more raw GPU power than the PS3 and the Switch is over double that when docked.
In the 8th year, the Switch sold 141 million units. The PS2 was only at 117m in the 8th year.
Nintendo would have the halt all production of the Switch by the end of 2025 for the console to not become the best selling console of all time. The wild part is how Switch sales picked up steam after the PS5 was released.
Nintendo forecasts the console selling 13.5 million by the end of this fiscal year (Mar 31 2025). That would put it at 154.82 million. All before the Switch 2 even drops.
And the Switch has beaten the Nintendo sales forecast every year except 2018.
I have always been a massive fan of the GT series. I have created hype threads here in the past for GT5. My excitement for the game dwindled when I found out about the pay-to-win mechanics. Also, the PS5's lineup has been disappointing and I still don't have one (FF16 doesn't seem good enough for me to drop $500).
This brings me to the new Forza Motorsport. This game looks super clean and I will be able to crank up the graphics to my liking (recently upgraded to an RTX 4080 for work). While I still do think the lighting and material sim in GT7 looks way better than the new FM, I am more than okay with skipping this one for the time being. The only way I am playing the new Gran Turismo is if it comes to PC. Console exclusives suck.
