As for whether or not cross-play between Xbox One and PS4 may ever happen, Psyonix has said it's not a technical matter holding it back, but ratherit's an issue of politics.

I was under a STRONG impression that this was already realized. And I'm 100% sure they PROMISED crossplay between PS4 and XO...

They were pimping the feature's coming to Xbox first like crazy. First turned out to be 30 days. Idiotic.
