25 years after Live Aid, today we got Live 8 going on. Elton John is playing right now. I was not getting into the pre-hype very much, but now that the concerts have begun, I am sitting at my pc watching everything I can (aolmusic.com). U2, as always, was excellent. Coldplay was good (I can't imagine watching an entire concert of them though....yawn). Duran Duran is playing in Rome (jesus, that Simon LaBlanc or whatever his name is has gotten old and fat).

I'm looking forward to seeing a bunch of the acts today. The re-uniting of Pink Floyd appears to be the highlight of the day. How come now Genesis reunion???

wow....what a game! I've never played a BF game before, and I was shocked at how fun and addictive this game is. It's the most "into" a game I've been in many years. The game really plays well in all aspects. The different player types, different weapons kits, the vehicles, all are quite varied and all have their unique aspectts that make them different from each other.

I do get a little frustrated at how good some of the players are though. Damn, what do these people do.....play 24/7??? There does not seem to be many cheap ways to kill people, which is nice. There is the problem with spawn killing, but, you do have some control over that, because you can simply choose to respawn somewhere else if one base has a spawn killer at it.

Scoring system is very cool too. TKing is punished which is nice. And scoring is varied so each class of soldier has ways to gain points. It's all balanced very well.

Anyone a fan of this HBO series? It's been on for several years, but I had never watched an episode until my partner came home with season 1 on dvd. I watched the first episode, and I was hooked. The absolute best writing I've even seen on a tv series. We are now watching season 3 on dvd (just came out a couple weeks back). The show is just so damn good.

I have no idea what this will evolve into, if anything. For now, I'll use it to make comments on my gaming expeirences, and probably other parts of my life will slip in also. That's all for now. :)
