From what I read, Final Fantasy XIII is just like your normal FF RPG, however Versus XIII will take place in the same world however from the perspective of the bad guys.

Square wouldn't have to be a remake, just a port with a minor button reconfiguration, X and Y would become L and R on the GBA. And the game would be a port of the SNES version, not the PSX port. I don't own a DS, I own a PSP and although I did put Chrono Trigger (PSX), Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy VII on it, I would like a handy small version on my Gameboy Micro. And for those who are mad at me for putting the games on my PSP, I do own the real versions for PSX, and Super Nintendo, AND in Japanese too.

But sadly, I emailed Square Enix a couple years ago asking if there were any plans to port Chrono Trigger to the Gameboy Advance and the response I got was a no, they're working on too many projects. I'm still hoping they do, it wouldn't be that difficult and be more of a profit than anything else for them.
