I have all three systems (a wii, xbox 360, and a PS3) and I have to say, the playstation 3 doesn't have as good of games as the other two. There are some good ones out right now like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword, but so far they are so short they can only be worth a rent. Warhawk and Resistance would be the only two I would deam buyable. As compared to the 360 which has Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect, etc., and with all the third party games for both 360 and Playstation 3, I would recommend on the 360 because the online is so much better and more intuitive. Yes you have to pay, but it's worth it 100%. So right now I would rate the three consoles:
Xbox 360 - 10/10 - for the pure amount of must buy games on this console and the amazing online it has. It already has an incredible install base with being the first released console and all so developers are autimatically pushed to develope for the system that will get you the most money right now.
Nintendo Wii - 7.5/10 - because the wii-mote makes everything so more intuitive and a lot of the classic Nintendo games, but the graphics are terrible and no online
Playstation 3 - 7.5/10 - because this clearly is the most powerful console, has a blue-ray player, and free online, but the console isn't being used to it's potential. Because of its high price, no one but a hardcore gamer or someone looking for a blue-ray play with a bonus will buy it. Developers themselves said it is hard to develope for blue-ray and the install base is the lowest out of all the consoles on the PS3. Sony has been promising it will get better since the VERY BEGINNING. It's getting there, but it's much too slow if they want to win the console war. They better come out with some kick-ass games and better online, and soon.
