I think by now everyone knows of the coming war on the Xenos, but of course, everyone knows any game that can be the "end all and the be all", can also totally blow nuts, just look at SWG. And Poland sucks.
Anyway, the game that could indeed be the most intense MMO of all time, and without a doubt is the game with the most potential as the background world of WH40k is by my opinion the best every created, will be played by yours truely. Now just to give the Xenos a heads up, and the Polish, look out for zhe Kaiser, as with the Lasgun, I shall cleanse.
Or I will at least play Age of Conan until the year of Warhammer 40k begins.

Newbies, Oldies, and Goodies

Well I have grown rather bored with the games coming out lately overall so I have had to feed my hunger for quality gaming by playing some older, yet great games. These include:
PSO, since I want to get back in the groove for PSU
Street Fighter 2...because I mean really who doesn't love Blanca, a bowl of coco puffs, and some illegal substances?
Myth 2, for a game back when Bungie still had a soul.
and Startopia, it is always to throw a game in there that no one has heard of or played, thats how you stay uber.

Looking at several new games after exams
by Roffkaiser on Comments
Well with exams coming up I will finally have some time to play tons of games later as the school year finishes up. Right now I am looking at the following 360 games
1) Chromehounds
2) Moto GP 06
3) Phantasy Star Universe(okay technically fall but sue me)
For the PC I don't know, but SPORE looks good, i just have to wait a bit for it, i might pick up Empire at War to saturate my RTS hunger in the mean time.
Also i will probably need a job or start mowing a crap load of lawns to afford all these games so I need to start planning my financial situation, peace!

School and life as I know it
by Roffkaiser on Comments
Well school has been going for about a week, and it has been a little hecticbut i am getting the hang of the 7 period day thing. My classes are
1st:Honors Algerbra 2
2nd:Life Management
3rd:German I
4th:Honors Civics
5th:Chemistry(fav)
6th:AP English III(least fav)
7th:JROTC III(Airforce to my dismay....2 years of army, and this is my first year of Airforce)
Chemistry is fun as hell, since all we do is light stuff on fire, and JROTC is fun because all we do is joke around all class, Life management is annoying because it is 22 girls(mostly freshmen girls) and 3 guys.....i could do without the "Oh my gosh...NO WAY!" and girls saying the word 'like' every other breath. AP English is hard as hell because we are reading a book that it is hard for me to keep interested in so i A) fall asleep or B) go do something when i should read....i wonder if i have ADD or something, my brother has it so i guess i could have it too.
Oh well, this is my schools first year so i will be the first Junior and Senior. Our teams suck but what do you expect?
Life is going okay, the girl department is going kinda slow, since as soon as i started getting close to one girl i moved :( and now all the girls seem out of my league or not worth my time. Though i do go to places with this one girl...though she is a year older than me and i only see her so much, so makes me kinda feel too weird to ask her out. Oh well thats my life at the moment in a nutshell, so take it as it is and leave your advice or comments .

Insomnia and my message at 3:20 in the morning

By no means is this the latest i have been up but of course i am getting really mad at my inability to fall asleep, especially as school approaches. Anyway i just can't wait for Huxley, and that game is a year from release, and yet it is driving me nuts how hot that game is looking. Already i have hooked up with a Huxley clan/guild, and we are to start some matches later today so we can get to know each other.
Oh well, i know no one reads this so i will end it now as i have nothing else to tell myself than, GET SOME FRIGGIN SLEEP.

New Gundam game.....WOW
by Roffkaiser on Comments
Thats all i can say....WOW
Alright i have calmed down some to type.....WOW.....Okay guys Gundam games usually are a disappointment for us Gundam fans but this one looks like a present from the heavens. The graphics are excellent, the driving mechanics seem solid, and the realism is there by the truck load.
This game gives me new hopes....if you haven't seen it go check it out in the PS3 section, it is the only Gundam game there.

Are casual gamers becoming the main target for games now?
by Roffkaiser on Comments
I was very sad when i saw that Panzer Elite Action would not be a tank simulation game, but rather like a game of halo with nothing but tanks. That seems like a boring concept to me, and the developer said the decision to make Panzer Elite Action(an action game) instead of Panzer Elite 2(a tank sim) was only monetary. This is because your casual gamer doesn't give many simulations a second glance.
I wish companies would care more about their fans and the customers that will buy their product 9 times out of 10 instead of the person that might pick up the game if it was dumbed down. I know many people that liked Morrowind, and had never played a game like it before(me being one of them) and really liked the feeling of you're in a world, and you do what you want. This is a deep game that the developers didn't dumb down for the audience that might buy it, but instead focused on pleasing the people that would buy it. This worked out in the end as many people loved the game when it was ported to the X-box, and got a taste of this deep game from PC.
The casual game is why many innovative titles and creative games don't do as well as say, Madden, and the very reason those games aren't as numerous in gaming as we know it. I loved Final Fantasy Tactics(had the best story of any FF), but has their ever been a worthy sequel? No, they had to dumb it down on the GBA to make money. The same thing with games like Xenogears or Mechwarrior, people will buy your dumbed down games like Fable or Mechassault instead...because hey, they might not be as good, but they have better marketing and are easier to get into.
One game i found that is both good and the casual gamers love is Metal Gear Solid, as some of my friends that the only games they play are GTA and sports game, LOVED this game. As did I, it is one of the best series ever made, and i hope it will evolve and become even bigger as time goes on.
The casual gamer to me seems to be the bane of innovation and creativity, though sometimes they are the reason games like that are such a hit, like Morrowind, or Sim City....so in closing, i love you guys but also despise you!

Fanboys and capitolism destroying gaming as we know it?
by Roffkaiser on Comments
Fanboys have rarely been a problem in my gaming career, as i was always talking to people with open minds(except for my cousin), but the internet changed all that. People seem to think that their favorite product can do no wrong, and is the best thing ever. It seems to me that this is destroying the very soul of gaming, in the beginning everything was new and fresh, sure you would have favorites, but hey at least when a sequel came out it steped everything up a level.
Now days, this is not the case, you see games or companies that are more interested in the sum of money than the product. Just think how many pokemons have there been? I mean it is like the land before time, NOTHING CHANGES! Sonic? Nothing changes, Mega man nothing! and then you have some game that tried to change the fundamentals of the game and failed terribly and their fans can't see it. IE Halo 2, or FFIX.
Capitolism is a big problem in gaming as well, as many REALLY good games have been destroyed for the sake of money. Look at Xenogears(i consider it the best RPG ever) it was episode 5 of the series, but of couse everyone that worked on the game were made to work really hard and then half way through their dead line changed because Square needed more people to work on Final Fantasy's. Now all of them are working on Xenosaga over at monolith but can't get the rights to Xenogears so who knows what will happen.
Another classic example is the company known as Microsoft, i got nothing against Windows(which i use) The X-box(which i use) or anything else like that. I just got a MAJOR issue with whoever makes the big decisions for the gaming area of Microsoft. I mean Microsoft is a company that now is devoid of creativeness. Where as Nintendo and Sony are swimming in it, Microsoft has tons and tons of sequels to games like Need for speed, Halo, and sports games. Though halo was somewhat creative, everything else just seems to be sinking in its own vain money grabbing lust. Though i must say some games for it were VERY creative and fun, like Morrowind, which brought Elder Scrolls to the masses, or Phantom Dust(which didn't succeed because of it's creativeness i think.
Now alot of those games aren't very high quality compared to other games of the same type. Need for speed? Weak in front of Gran Turismo franchise. And the only MMO's that X-box can come up with is a 4 year old Sega title, a PS2 title, and a PC game coming out from Korea. They missed their chance at A GREAT step in the right direction with True Fantasy. WHY? WHY DIDN'T YOU DO IT!? Microsoft come on! Take a chance and let the gamers have fun while you do it!
Microsoft has also become VERY stupid lately with it's lust for money. It destroys 3rd party companies when it takes them in. It buys out Westwood...what happens? The great RTS command and conquer dies. It buys out FASA....what happens? The great Mech simulation Mechwarrior DIES. It buys out Bungie...what happens? several very creative series die, like Oni and Myth.
So why do you do it Microsoft? Why must you kill the hardcore gamer in the quest for money? In the future if you are the only company left...i will just be playing my Nintendo, PC, Dreamcast, and playstation from yesteryears as you become the biggest Jackass in the world.

BF2 impressions
by Roffkaiser on Comments
A couple days ago the much awaited game Battlefield 2 game out. I was greatly depressed by this because EB sent me the DVD version instead of the CD one i ordered, so it took another day before i could play the game. But the game was awsome, the first few moments were let christmas. Then the fun turned into more depression as plenty of lag set in, and that coupled with my stupid ISP(which like to drop when i finally find a no lag server) made for very stressful playing. Also it was about 8 games before i FINALLY found a squad with mics, and once i found that squad the fun peaked again, as teamwork and comradie made the fun soar much higher compared to no mics lol.
Anyway, i met some cool people like a dude name The_Bard and some other dude named Stogg or something wierd like that. Me and Bard were in the choppers ALOT and i get a Helicopter badge when i was transporting people around in a transport chopper instead of being his gunner(somebody else in the squad had that down that game). It takes along time for the stats to reset, so i can't remember all the badges i got, and won't be able to view them until they update.
In closing BF2 is a great, solid game, and hopefully they will fix the lag on alot of the servers so i can have alot of fun without alot of stress! EVERYONE BUY THIS GAME!
