or do you have to have friends to invite you to games in order to play online.. because it always says '2 or more freinds needed to play this mode'

you know for GTA IV.. are there any dedicated servers??

because it seems that you have to have friends who have the game to play online.. (there are no servers just available for anyone to join - for example on the PC games such as 'counter strike' have a variety of dedicated servers..)
