I really don't know why they never come to Lebanon, there's a HUGE fanbase over here.

The only bands I've ever seen live were Apocalyptica and Macbeth, and let me just say that they and the local bands put on one hell of a show! Those concerts got me into metal:) I've heard that Slipknot, Mudvayne, Testament, and Static-X sound THE best live. Strapping Young Lad would have topped them all, but unfortunately they split up:(

Sigh, I really don't know how good music just vanished like that. I assume that grunge rock started it all in terms of bands (grunge is pretty good though). Now we have rubbish "rock" (*cough* JonasQueers cough*)bands and that disgusting r&b, rap, pop, and electronic music! Yuch! I actually used to be a crowd follower so I could be "cool", but listening to that crap never really did anything for me since I was bullied mercilessly in high school. Then I got introduced to the wonderful world of METAL!\m/ (I went to see Apocalyptica and some AWESOME local bands opened for them) And listening to metal got me to listen to some amazing music such as classic rock, punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz, blues, country, reggae, classical, and some good respectable rap (2pac, Biggie, Immortal Technique, Eminem). Instead of good, intelligent music like metal (I appreciate every subgenre of it)and the ones I listed, everytime the television is turned on I see half naked chicks EVERY FRIGGIN TIME! And this crap R&b? All it ever talks about is money and chicks with vomit inducing synthesized vocals! Same thing goes for thatelectronic music.Crap, pure crap! Makes me want to puke my guts out! And it's all around me! Especially because I live in the Middle East where a lot of pop culture is prevalent. Good thing I saved myself from this brainwashing puke. METAL for LIFE and keep the horns up!\m/
