Well if Sony had counted on Metal Gear Solid boosting its PS3 sales, they can add me to a statistic. I went out and I finally bought one (a MGS bundle from Best Buy, away from Gamespots price boosting), plunging me into the world of PS3 and Blu Ray. I've gotta say the system is slick, but the control system is a grungy kind of familiar. I've gotten so used to the 360 controller from the Xbox and PC that the PS3 controller feels a bit odd. Maybe it will grow on me.

I picked up The Bourne Conspiracy and Lego Indiana Jones today, a day earlier than release date at that. Sometimes its good to get to know the people at Gamestop, small favors can be convenient. ;)

Some details about the next Prince of Persia game came out recently and I have to say, I'm starting to look forward to it already. I loved the entire Sands of Time trilogy (well, liked Warrior Within), I feel it has taken the Prince of Persia franchise and made it something to look to for great storytelling and innovative game play. By the initial first look it seems that Prince of Persia IV will be following in the tradition. I don't know how I feel about loosing the time bending abilities but I guess it was getting old anyway. As an added bonus, the cell shaded graphics (see above) looks pretty sweet. I've always thought cell shaded graphics are an under-appreciated artistic ****and its good to see it put to use.
