Hm...

Mass Effect has such a cinematic feel to it already and is so fleshed out, a movie is rather pointless. Guilty in admitting I'm curious to see what it will look like though.

GTA...no.

Metal Gear Solid has a great story, no denying that, but to try and pack the sheer amount of it into a 2-3 hour movie could be a mess. They have to leave time to entertain us and not just overload us with information.

Uncharted could make a fun action-adventure movie, but it will be overshadowed by the almighty Indiana Jones and I can't see it being anything more than a popcorn flick.

Halo has a great universe. The games do their best at telling a great story but it relies on other forms of media to truly shine (books for example). A movie could do wonders for the Halo universe and that is why, out of your options, I pick Halo. Great universe, a lot of great characters and room to make new ones, universe is easy to understand but still complex for those that want to dig deeper, and there would certainly be a lot of entertaining battles. A Halo movie could be epic, in the right hands of course.

Gotta disagree. From what I've seen of the campaign it looks like it'll be the best of the series with large scale battles and new features like space battles (and others yet to be revealed).

From what I've seen of matchmaking (and played for that matter) I can safely say it's the most fun I've had with Halo's matchmaking. It had it's issues during the beta but Bungie listens to their fans so I'm not worried about it.

Then add firefight, which I know for a fact is a lot of fun from ODST. The only thing it needed was matchmaking and, sure enough, Bungie gave us that and so much more. The options are limitless.

Lastly, custom games. Most of my time in Halo is spent playing custom infection games. The amount of joy I get from it is indescribable. Now with the much improved Forge, the custom infection maps should be epic to say the least. Maybe I'll even make one myself.

Killzone 3 will be a very fun shooter (AAA I'm sure), but to me it doesn't sit in the same league as Halo: Reach.

1) Halo: Reach

2) Diablo 3

3) Guild Wars 2

4) Batman: Arkham City

5) And I'll say 3DS because I can't think of a 5th game.

So they only get Mass Effect 2? Kind of sucks since the choices the game makes for you if you have no save files sucks.

Still, better than not having it at all.

I used to love Zelda but it definitely feels dated now. R&C is a blast, however. Shame I don't have a PS3 to enjoy it.

I played Team Fortress 2 for a long time on the X360 before I got it for PC and loved it so I think it's worth it.

Technically, yes. But for arguments sake it's easier to separate the two.

Did I say it was the deciding factor?

Nope, but you said sales have to do a lot with whether there is a sequel or not. There are MANY games which sold like crap, but got a sequel.

Still doesn't change the fact that sales are taken into consideration when deciding whether or not to make a sequel.

This thread is about the possible announcement of Resistance 3.

Replies should be along the lines of "OMG I loved Resistance 2, can't wait for the next one!" or "It's about goddamn time Insomniac!" or "Resistance 2 was a huge letdown compared to the first".

Instead he chose to talk about sales, which do not matter or affect any of us and this thread has nothing to do with game sales. He simply put that there to try to belittle the franchise.

Sales have a lot to do with whether a game will get a sequel.

Killzone 1?

Did I say it was the deciding factor?

How is that important or relevant to this thread at all?

BPoole96

How is talking about Resistance NOT relevant in a Resistance thread?
