RoughneckRico Blog

's Been forever.

I dont really blog on here.
I watch movie more than anything, even playing video games.
So hence, if you WANT to keep up with wassup in my media life, go here:
http://brutalbeta.blogspot.com/

Thats my regular blog.
However since I'm going through all the trouble of making this blog post, I might as well give ya'll a lil update on me and my media life.

As of now, I have Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, Dead Space 2, Just Cause 2, LEGO Indiana Jones 2, and Batman Arkham Ayslum: GOTY Edition.
All great games in their own right, I reccomend em all and whatnot.
Also too as far as movies or whatever, The Green Hornet was fun, not great, but fun.
The best movies of 2010 in my opinion were Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Inception and The Expendables was just a total guilty pleasure.
If you want some timelessawesome stuff, (which means old, but still pretty freaking good)
check out Taxi Driver for the folks who like some more emotional badassery.
Check out Aliens for one of the best balls-to-the-walls, freak-out, sci-horror, shoot em up of all times.
Check out Rambo: First Blood Pt.II for some unabashed, action packed, kick ass patriotism.
Finally, the best movies I've discovered in the past few years are old.
Don't knock it. Don't shrug it off.
Search around the web, there are TONS of AMAZING totally BAD-ASS movies out there that you have NO clue about.
Seriously.

Happy 2010

Right now i have more games at once than i ever have before!
considering i've only had my ps3 about a solid year, and i completely gone over and under all the games I swore never to sell.
I have Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Uncharted 2: Among Theives, Devil May Cry 4, WET, Borderlands, Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe, Tomb Raider Underworld, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
:D

Recycled...

All the games i swore never to sell...
i sold.
*sob sob sob* but out of all of them i only plan to buy back Dead Space! :D
Currently i have Wanted: Weapons of Fate, BioShock, and TimeShift.
I don't think i'm holding onto timeshift much longer...

in Dead Space... no one can hear you scream.

I bought my sacred PS3, about two weeks ago, and i bought assassins creed, uncharted, and DEAD SPACE!!! Dead Space has thrown me a tour de force through bloodied hallways, pulse pounding survival, grotesque creature, horrific bloodshed and a cyberpunk experience like no other! Dead Space has scared the hell out of me and made up for it by letting be obliterate and decimate waves upon waves of disgusting Necromorphs, there is no other game I have played that made me like it as much as dead space did. I was gripping the controller until the last nail biting level, Dead Space is a must. As i have played through Dead Space i have taken a break or two to watch a movie and regain my sanity, i saw the mangs: Dead Space Downfall, which was a nice complement to the game, but dont expect nothing else. Also i saw the Evil Dead movies for the first time, they were very "groovy", and i saw Deep Rising, which is total pure fun, see it. So all in all.. idk.

Reflections of my media mind

Well I'm not too great at this blogging thing so I'll just do what I do.

Recently I sold most of my games to get some new ones; I got Max Payne, Resident Evil: outbreak, Aeon Flux, and Hitman 2: silent assassin, and am glad I did so; I needed a video game transfusion! I am also a big fan of video game movies, I know most are crap and not worth the money or the time of day, but I don't know why I like em', I just do. Don't be mistaken, I can tell which are actually good and which aren't, and depending on your own acceptability of video game movies, Hitman is one that rises above the rest. It holds relatively true to the games, and plays out like one of the games. Every movie has its flaws so don't expect Hitman to be the best movie ever, but it is worth seeing, maybe even owning it.
