In the same boat here as well. Got my PS3 a little over a month ago after having the 360 for a while now. The deciding factor for myself was my recent purchase of my 65" 1080p set and wanting to get into Blu-ray. Also the fact that I've got an extra 20gig on this system (went with the 40gig retail verson) compared to my 360, free on-line gaming and a host of great games as well. Oh....did I mention Blu-ray, the PS3 as far as a upconverting DVD player has retored new life into my existing DVD collection while allowing me the pleasure of slowly but surely building it back up with Blu-ray movies!

I'll definetly continue to game on the 360 and enjoy it but I love what the PS3 has done for my setup so far. Can't wait for GT5, GTAIV, MGS and so on....:)

Thanks for all the replies. The controller has had a full charge and that didn't seem to matter. Also the movement of the right thumbstick is absolutely fine it's just it doesn't respond as far as looking up or down in Resistance or Condemned 2. Since the controller came with the system how would I return it for another one? Could I just bring in my receipt to Walmart.....would that work just for a controller exchange?

Ok....so I'm a new PS3 owner for about a month now and have this weird issue when playing Resistance. When trying to look up or down the controller does not even respond at first. As I go on playing then I'll have to practically jam the right stick up or down and even then it's not fluid like it should normally be. I only have two games right now, the other being Motorstorm and I don't seem to have any issues with that game and the controllers functions. It has nothing to do with inverting the y axis as I've tried messing with those controller settings in the game and it still doesn't matter.

Anyone heard of this type of thing happening before? I just downloaded the demo of Condemned 2 and I seem to have the same issue with the movement in that game as well. Again only when trying to use the right thumbstick to look up or down. This issue really makes playing FPS a pain in the ass! I got my system brand new....it is possible the controller may just be screwed up somehow?
