Hi, this sounds nooby but I'm a secure person and I want to make sure if it's perfectly safe to put in a normal DVD into my PS3, rather than a Blue Ray one.... so is it completely safe dudes?
Thanks....
You geniuses, thanks a bunch, so I won't need do this all the time? Only when I need the resolution to be auto-detected?
I thought there was another way, I was a little baffled, it is next gen and all... Thanks again.
For me, MGS4 was anticipated as soon as I completed MGS3 (about 1-2 weeks after it's release) and even before I completed MPO.
Now that it's out and i completed it 2 days ago (and bought it on the day of its release lmao) it has to be the next best franchise: GOW3.
So I went down to play on my 46" Sony Bravia HD TV when my mum wasn't watching and I put the HDMI cable in (just about, thanks to the dumb stand).
I then changed the display settings to 1080p where I couldn't see anything so changed it to 1080i which was apparently the maximum for the TV.
I realised the wonderful difference when playing COD4, MGS4 and GRID on 720p but the only problem was when I went back up to resume play on the normal TV I couldn't see a thing.
I stuck in the AV cable and when I put the PS3 on I couldn't see anything. Now I'm guessing i must go back down, put the HDMI cable in (where I can see) and change the display settings to AV cable (rather than HDMI) and I probably won't see anything, due to the HDMI cable and then close the PS3, go back up, stick in AV cable and play...
So is this the right way? If so, are there any easier ways of doing this in the future because if I forget to change it one day, it is so annoying to go back down with the PS3 etc. etc.
Thanks
