The games that I've beaten over the summer

School starts in a couple of weeks, and my summer has consisted of two things: friends and video games. Besides the vacation I went on this summer, I've had a pretty un-eventful summer, so I spent a lot of time playing video games; so I decided to make a blog post about the games I beat over the summer. To start it off:

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Boxshot

I didn't collect all 240 stars, but I collected the necessary amount to beat Bowser and defeated him. I didn't beat it all the way through, but I still completed the main part of the game, so I guess it counts.

Super Mario 64

Super Mario 64 Boxshot

I've owned this game since I was a young child, but I never got around to beating the final Bowser, so I decided it was time to pull out my Nintendo 64. I believe I had around 43 stars, and all in one day, I earned 27 stars in order to get to the final Bowser. I haven't touched my cartridge ever since. Although this is an amazing game, I'm a bit burned out on it now because I played it for so many hours straight, and I still have yet to recover from that one mission where that stupid snowman head that blows you off the icy bridge if you aren't covered by that stupid penguin...

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

After putting off beating this game for a few months, I decided it was finally time to buckle down and beat it. After beating it, I decided it truly deserves all of the praise it gets. Calling it "one of the greatest games of all time" isn't an exaggeration at all.

Donkey Kong Country

Donkey Kong Country Boxshot

My brother was nice enough to buy this from the Virtual Console for me, and I'm glad he did. This game is really fun, and it gave me a gooddose of old-school difficulty. I'm looking forward to downloading the next two DKC games from the Virtual Console, and I'm also really excited for DKC Returns which should come out in a few months.

Sonic Advance

Sonic Advance Boxshot

I beat this during the vacation I took this summer, and it's definitely a good Sonic title. It may be a bit on the easy side, but it still provides a good amount of speed and fun.

Sonic Rush

Sonic Rush Boxshot

Although I hated the boss fights, this game is another good Sonic title. It has an insane sense of speed, and a strange, but catchy, soundtrack. If you're a Sonic fan and you miss the old-school Sonic goodness, do yourself a favor and buy this game.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Boxshot

I loved this game. It's probably my favorite Wii game right now. If you're a Zelda fan and you haven't played this game, then I recommend you do.

And that concludes this blog post.
