Good, I find that important to know. By the time Res Evil 5 comes out I'll want a next gen system and I'm leaning more and more toward the PS3 lately.

Just curious, I've never really seen much discussed on that issue. I had two 360s, both failed in the six months I had the system. By the time I got a third one I just sold it on eBay and made most my money back. I don't hear much about PS3 failures either. Seems far more reliable in the long run. I'm bias, truly hate Microsoft being a Mac user as well. Anyway, is it as loud?

[QUOTE="RyanMatthews17"][QUOTE="pundog"]And this is why SW is slowly degrading into nothingness. If you're going to post here either choose a side, say something meaningful or leave instead of posting one of these "why can't everybody just get along" threads? Arguing whether or not product x is better than product y is stupid, thats the point.pundog

Nah, I'm just observing that a lot of it is stupid. Really, I just kinda want to know why people support which systems and why so much.

Because thats kind of the point. Which part confused you, the "system" or the "wars"?

Man, I'm just saying a lot of it is really asinine. I'm not saying people can't have a side, that's why I posted to begin with. Just wondering why people are so gung-ho toward one side or the other. So I related my side and I wanted to see some other perspectives.

Whatever **** you had to say is lost by the fact that you can't edit the **** down to layman properties. Your 19? Get your ass off the couch and go out, experiment with drugs, alchohol, get a few hardcore addictions going and then maybe I'll give a **** about what you think.Corvin

Uhhhhh....wow that's really harsh for like no reason. I don't know why I need to have addictions to have gamer cred. For the record, I could a) drink you under the table, b) smoke you under the table, and c) probably work game and not be a d**k. Long post I know, but I don't do forums ever really. So yeah, F you.

I've been reading many of the posts for the past couple of days and a lot of the arguments seem pretty asinine. People rally behind one (or some other combo) of the three companies for reasons that border/are fanatical. I'm not trying to be a hypocrite, I'm just trying to understand why it gets so bitter at times. Its natural to be defensive of a product we invest in and spend hundreds, in some cases thousands, of dollars each year. So why are you Nintendo or Sony or Microsoft (or some other combo)? I'd like to gain a little insight.

Here's my take. I'm 19 now and I remember being a huge Megaman fan on the NES when I was a kid. I never really had much exposure to any other Nintendo system till the Gamecube. Before that, my brother had a Genesis so I got some play out of that and eventually I got a PS1 in middle school. I've always liked the action/adventure stuff and PS1 offered a lot in every genre. Loving that so much I eventually got a PS2 and that was my only system till I was about a senior in hs. My best friends were huge Nintendo fans so I got a Gamecube and we were all hooked on SSBM, Mario Kart, Warioware, Def Jam: Fight for NY (I hope there are some fans out there), and a lot of the other multiplayer games offered. My PS2 sat around so I sold out and picked up an X-Box right before Halo 2 came out. Then I found out I didn't worship Halo as much as everybody else (it's just ok) so that sat around. So, right before Devil May Cry 3/God of War came out I sold my X-Box and got a PS2 slimline. After that my PS2 pretty much sat around again haha.

My Gamecube always got use though whether it was from just me or with my friends. Then came college and I don't really have much time to play anything during the school year. When X-Mas came this year though and I knew my 3 best bros would all be getting a Wii, I decided to pick up a 360 so we could have a something different too (even though I hate Halo). Gears of War was fun for about a month, Dead Rising was entertaining for awhile, and I really liked the sports games. I liked the Wii a lot and I was pretty happy with my 360. Then my 360 flashed red. I was pretty pissed about the faulty hardware (of people I knew with 360s, over 60% had this happen) and my disc tray also would not open. My $60 NCAA was inside and Microsoft refused to do anything about it (allegedly) when I returned it to Best Buy. Either way I was fed up with that and when I got my replaced 360 I just decided to sell it. The day after I sold it Microsoft came out with their new 360. After that I definitely thought I had made the right decision. Personally, it seems real d**k to come out with an upgraded system (the HDMI) within 15 months of the original release, thus making your most loyal fans who bought the system first be regulated to the "inferior" system.

I picked up a Wii after that and have enjoyed that ever since. The games are fun, the multiplayer is fun, and the system runs great (and quiet). While people complain about a lack of games, it seems as if there is a lot of good stuff on the way (Brawl, MP 3, SM Galaxy, FF: CC, Ready to Rumble, No More Heroes, etc.). I only usually pick 3-5 games a year anyway and with the Virtual Console I've barely even gotten into the stuff available that I'd like to and have time to play. I'd definitely say I support Nintendo, but they've always given me a good reason to support them. I could see myself picking up a 360 again or a PS3 in the future, but for now I think the Wii will suit me fine.

Yeah, real long I know, but what about you guys? Btw I'm sure you can tell I'm an insomniac. And everyone who says sheep is an f'in dbag. People can play w/e they want, I don't care if they're in the desert diggin up copies of E.T.

I just downloaded Super Mario World for SNES and have been trying to use it with a Wavebird Gamecube Controller. However, every time I try to start the game up it says I will need the Classic Controller. I thought the Gamecube controller was supposed to work on all virtual console games?
