If it were $750 and included quality componets (drums with good bounce, guitars with decent maple, etc.) I would still buy it. If it were $200 and included flimsy, thin plastic "lifeless" instruments, I would not. It's all about the realism in my mind. If the immersion is greater, I'm willing to pay more...much more even.

Thanks for the great suggestions!
What I picked up today:
DS Lite (Cobalt Blue)
Mario Kart DS (they both have this one also)
New Super Mario Bros (the both have this one also)
Mario Party DS
Super Mario 64 DS
Tiger Woods (that's just for me)
Call of Duty 4 (again for me)
Namco Museum (told you I was an old school gamer)
Brain Age
Pen Stylus pack (my hands are too big for that tiny stylus
I'm going to look at some of the other suggestions made here and would like to hear of others. Of course, not all listed above are for us specifically to play together, but some are and we'll be looking for more.
Thanks again!
I'm a life long gamer, raising two gamers and need some recommendations. My kids convinced me to buy a DS of my own so that we could play some multiplayer games together. I'm 37, my son is 12 and my daughter is 10. I've picked up the obvious two mutiplayer titles that I know both of them already have (New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS) but would like to know of other titles that might be great for us to play together. Any suggestions?
Things we have enjoyed together in the past are Super Paper Mario in the Wii, Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3, Viva Pinata on the 360, and Hot Shots Golf on the PSP. They both play Animal Crossing on the DS but I'm just not into that sort of thing.
Please help a dad looking for some family gaming fun!
