UMDs were good in the past because of their capacity, but now since its easy for flash cards to be at those capacities at a low cost it was the right move. I prefer the flash cards because it will require less moving parts and less bulk.

I only regret that I will not be able to play my UMDs on the PSP2, but then, I could just keep my 3000...
