The hardware is hardly an issue, it's the best around for consoles and can even give some gaming PCs a run for their money. The media capabilities are top notch, what with it being able to play various videos, present images, and play music, all at PC quality capabilities. The online is a bit iffy; I have yet to see it in full action, even if I've heard and read so much about it. Finally, the part of the PS3 that its naysayers have so much to whine about, the games at launch are weak, except for a few titles. The only games I would like at launch are Oblivion and Resistance, one of which is on other platforms. However, it appears that many more games are coming out in 2007 that rival the Xbox360s lineup, which is quite robust (I mean, I almost cried when I heard about all the new features in Halo 3 and Mass Effect is amazing and BioShock is cool and Gears of War....gaaaah, so tasty). Am I planning, with emphasis on planning, to buy a PS3 at launch? Well, the answer to that is HELL YEAH! I have to much faith in this system and in this company to think it will let me down in terms of games or online, which are the only things that I have even the tiniest doubts about, in the future. And, when Halo 3 comes out, hopefully in the summer, I'll get a 360. :+)

I hope I can get my hands on one of these bad boys on November 17. Man, I'm gonna have to wait a while, maybe miss some school.... And the price is ridiculous, but worth it.
