Why oh,Why?

I am now realizing what a mistake it is to purchase certain games. They inevitably lead to days off your life due to the exhaustion brought on by lack of sleep. You all know what Im talking about. Other's lead to more extreme health issues, Carpal Tunnel, vision loss, tendonitis of the elbow, shoulder or wrist.

The Wii was supposed to get gamers off the couch not land them in the Dr.'s office. I can only imagine what will happen when Wii Fit is released. Wii Sports was enough of a workout. The boxing provided plenty of Cardio, just try and complete 9 straight rounds. Tennis will give you tennis elbow, as will baseball & golf if not done properly. Then there's Guitar Hero, to cause your hanbds and fingers to ache for days from over use.

Then again maybe I'm just getting old.

Shall Wii play?

After over 2 months of serious searching, I finally got a Wii. It was such a relief to actually get it. My son has been waiting patiently for all this time, as it is his Christmas and birthday all rolled into one. Honestly I have been almost as anxious to try it.
Having now gotten and played it a litte I must say, I have never sweated so much while playing a video game in my life (if you don't count that summer in West Texas with no A/C...whoo.) It is quite a change from your sit on the edge of the couch game. Overall though, I like it.
I am very interested to see where this leads. They have yet again inovated the realm of video games. This time it's much more far reaching than what DDR did. It kind of makes me wonder how far are we from the Holodeck of Star Trek. In any event I think Nintendo has accomplished what it set out to do. Make gaming as fun as possible.:)
