for what system? for 360, all of teh GH stuff works with RB.

Currently for PS3, the GHWT drums will not work with RB, the game sees them as a normal controller. supposedly there is a patch in the works for RB to make the drums work, but that was posted a couple weeks ago and there hasn't been an update or a patch.

Yes I currently have GHWT for the 360. So If I purchase the Rock band 1 and 2 Discs, they will work and recognize the GHWT hardware.  I am liking this already.

From my experience the 360 warranty from BB is garbage. They make you mail it (at your expense) to a company that will replace your 360 -- you can;t just take it back in and replace it.

Again, this is from my experience in 2006, it may have changed since then. Best way to find out is to go down to your local and ask, but I'd say don;t waste yoru time with it, just rely on MS's warranty.

Any warranty I have purchased from best buy, and I get a warranty on any major electrical item ( have purchased warranty through best buy on xbox,ds,tv,surround sound, computer) I have never been told to mail it to a company.  I have always taken it to the store for the exchange.  The only problem I have ever had was my tv being replaced under the warranty, and the only reason that was a problem was because I was told the wrong thing by a associate, but after calling corporate, they made it all better via a gift card.

I would purchase the warranty through best buy and not MS.  Much better to deal with BB then MS

With the problems I have seen with the guitar hero world tour on the 360(i.e  Guitar Problems, Drum sensitivity issues),  I would wait a couple of months to get it, yeah I know it sucks, and the game is pretty decent, but when you purchase a game, you don't want your stuff to break a week after getting it like mine did.  Now I am waiting almost a month for RedOctane to fix my guitar and send the USB/MIDI cable for the drum sensitivity.

I REALLY WISH I WOULD OF WAITED

I purchased my GHWT Band Set from Gamestop.  A week after purchasing, my guitar broke and I noticed the sensitivity issues with the drums.  I contacted Gamestop in reference to a exchange, and they refused even though I still had the original receipt.  They told me I needed to contact RedOctane/Activision in reference to the Hardware and it was not covered by there instore return policy.

I waited about another week to hear back from Redoctane about the issues with the guitar.  As they had told me that the Midi/Usb cable they are offering to there customers free of charge will take care of the drum sensitivity issues.  They then told me that in reference to the guitar, I would have to ship it back to them(my charge for this of course) and it would be 2-3 weeks till my guitar or another was returned to me.

Think about how this makes a consumer feel, they spend 200+ on a game and the store will not take it back and I have to pay for the shipping back to red octane and be without a guitar for almost a month.  I am in the process now of taking this one step farther through gamestop and waiting to talk to there corporate office in reference to this.

What I am wondering is, will the rock band original and rock band 2 games work with the GHWT hardware.  I would love for this to work as I like both of those games, but would prefer the drums and guitar from guitar hero as I like and have both of those already.  If anyone has a answer to this question it would be a great help.  Thanks
