I know what you mean and yes GTA is a 9 out of 10 or even a 8.5 after playing it.

Knowing Gamespot they'll give it a 9.5 on the Xbox 360 and a 8.5 on the PS3;). GTA is not going to get a 10/10. The highest it will get is a 9.5 because of Gamespot .5 rating.
