Not a big difference between standby and running in my opinion. I found the hottest part of my wii by using my infrared temperature probe and testing out different spots. The hottest spot I could locate was 98.4 degrees F (standby) and when I let the wii run for 20 minutes (fan on) the temperature dropped to 93.0 degrees.
Thanks Articuno, you are correct. 64 megabytes = 512 megabits. DS has 1024 megabits. I guess companies aren't using the storage to its full capacity most of the time.
Most of the recent trends show how memory is becoming dirt cheap, I mean if you look in the right places you can find a 1GB sd card for as low as 14 bucks. My question is, will companies utilize the ablility to produce cheaper memory and translate that to larger capacity ds carts? I really want to see more long, immersive 3d adventure games on the ds, and I think that the hardware can handle it fine. But it just seems like there are all these 2d games that really show the limited capacity of the media (128 MB or about 1024 Mb), and the 3d games that do come out (metroid) are relatively short. Does anyone know if capacity will be increasing anytime soon? I don't feel like paying 35 bucks for a ds game when I can buy a great used game for my GC or PS2 for under $20, but the ds is portable on the other hand.
