If your playing the Campaign alone, you will only play as the MC. Personally, I think the Arbiter is a more interesting character than the MC, and I was disappointed when I heard you couldn't play as him without playing co-op.
As much as I would love to see a new Myth or ONI game, Bungie ;doesn'tt own the rights to either game anymore. So I'm hoping they create a new IP.
