I think that it's safe to say that by now, almost every casual and hardcore gamer has played the game that is: Halo. It's almost the first game to come off of a person's tongue when you ask them what there favorite game is. With the status of golden nowannounced i can just imagine the most hardcore halo fan already lining up at gamestop or walmart weeks and weeks before the release.

Me though, and i hope a few others ask them self's....why all the hype? Ok maybe not those exact words, but something of the like. I totally understand the hype...with some of the best graphics seen to date. But i personally don't see what makes it better than some of the other FPS out there. Such as the Metroid Prime games...now comparing the gamecubes graphics and the xbox's really isnt fair (i havent played MP3 yet so im going to stay away from it) but I find playing the metroid games was much funner than halo. I can't really put my finder on it, but halo really didn't do it for me.

Another thing that I can put my finger on is the weapon's in halo....there a bit lacking. You got the basic pistol and machine gun, rocker-launcher, and the close combat weapon and a couple others), but thats the jist of it. Compare that to a game like turok or the classic goldeneye and you'll know what i'm talking about. In halo you mainly use the machine gun and resort to the needler or pistol, but other games you have a wider selection of guns to use...

Now don't gangup on mefor this. I'm just saying some people are closing there eyes to other games that I personally think are much better. I think the halo games are fun to play, mainly in co-op, but i really don't see how it's soooo much better than other games...like the doom or call of duty series'
