** >> WWE Summerslam

Ok, I watched Summerslam last night and to be honest it was bot a very good pay-per-view. It is in the running for worst PPV of the year in my view. I'll explain all the matches basically in my opinion. (dark matches not included)

1. Kane vs Finlay - Okay, this match was an O.K opener. Kane needs the get the World Heavyweight Title eventually. Finlay CAN be a good wrestler but he is a mid-carder and the WWE sees these two as mid-carders. Kane did well in that match. He sold his kayfabe rib injury quite well. The match was quite funny when Hornswoggle got involved. The two wrestlers didn't show too much pure wrestling but they're not the guys to mainly focus on wrestling. Overall, an O.K opener. Kane wins after a shellelah attack kick-out then a chokeslam.

5.5 / 10

2. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP!! Umaga vs Carlito vs Mr Kennedy - Mister..... Kennedyyyy! ... Kennedyyy! He does his usual entrance then out coms Carlito Crap then Umaga. By the way I extremely dislike Carlito. From what I hear, that guy only wrestles for his paycheck. And he's a bad wrestler. What are your moves Carlito? Punch? Punch? Punch? Oh new move, the BACKSTABBER! Wow! Carlito is a load of s***. Umaga is a good wrestler for his size. Okay, Mr Kennedy NEEDED to win that belt but WWE just had to keep it on Umaga. Not that that's so bad but Mr Kennedy would make a better champion. It was a good match for a Triple Threat. Lots of in-the-ring and out-the-ring switching. Very little wrestling by Carlito. Mr Kennedy is a great worker. He showed some nice skill in that match. I thought it was over when Mr Kennedy hit his Flip Samoan Drop like move but Umaga just has to break it up. It was a good match but I'm not impressed with the result. Umaga wins with a Samon Spike on Kennedy.

3. Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guerrero - The return of Rey Mysterio! A nice new look for Summerslam, an all silver look. He looked great in the ring. Tons of athletic moves. Flips, twists, turns, Mysterio did great in that match. He sold his knee being damaged. Chavo Guerrero also did well in that match. At the beginning, the two wrestler extremely well with some very acrobatic moves. Some very good wrestling in this match even though the outcome was predictable. After a few good moves such as a springboard senton, a float-over DDT and a Gory Bomb from Chavo, Rey kicked out and hit the 619 and a Springboard Big Splash for the 12 minute win. An outstanding match.

8.5 / 10

4. Diva Battle Royal - Okay, this match was BAD. Poorly timed, poorly executed, and flat-out poor. Save for a couple of GOOD wrestlers (Beth Phoenix, Mickie James and Michelle McCool) this match was rubbish. All the same old s*** from other battle royals. Attack her, throw her out the ring, attack the next girl. A viciously boring cycle. I was surprised to see Mickie James lose quite early. She needs to be women's champion because of her good mic and wrestling skills. Finally, it was McCool vs Phoenix. Basically, Beth Phoenix attacked her and put her out the ring. Poor wrestling and a bad match makes Beth Phoenix's victory quite a bad one. She might have a title match when she chooses, but the match was BS.

Before the 5th match after the battle royal, nearly instantly after, MVP comes down to the ring and issues a beer-drinking contest to Matt Hardy. He comes out. MVP calls him a common man. Matt Hardy replies he is proud of that. MVP bashes the fans for being a common man and Matt Hardy gets cheered. Matt Hardy needs a title push. Matt said he knew he could outdrink MVP but that he wasn't going too. He explained that at Saturday Night's Main Event, MVP has a substitute for the boxing match, which was a great boxer, Evander Holyfield. Matt Hardy explains that he has a substitute that is a great beer drinker, I think you get the idea know. !WINDOW SMASH" Out comes STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN! The fans knew he was coming because of their AUSTIN cheers before the music hits. Matt Hardy and Stone Cold have a toast before he leaves. MVP and Stone Cold are about to begin, they grab some beers and as MVP opens one, CRACK! The Stone Cold Stunner! Stunner! MVP nearly backflipped from the stunner he got! Cheers went through the roof and Stone Cold does his normal beer bash.

Shortly after, a backstage promo with Cryme Tyme and the Management (Vince, Regal, Coachman, Teddy and Armando). Cryme Tyme say that one of them could be Vince's son because of mony. hey start dancing and all the other GMs join in except Mr McMahon. They leave and William Regal is still dancing with the Cryme Tyme hat on. Ron Simmons comes in and sees Regal dancing. Ron Simmons looks at Regal. And judging by his T-Shirt which printed "DAMN" in big white letters you know what he says next.

DAMN!

Kat DeLuna, the singer of the Summerslam theme song is shown. A video package then airs between CM Punk and Johnny Nitro. Woops I meant John Morrison.

5. CM Punk vs John Morrison - A nice bout for the ECW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. CM Punk is a great wrestler and also a great striker with his wide array of kicks and knees. Also very athletic, he shows great wrestling skills and he also has good mic skills. Very popular with fans. John Morrison. Great wrestler, good mic skills, a good champion I suppose. Okay, this was a very good match. Tons of athletesism. Punk starts with a double leg takedown and soon after hits a hiptoss and bodyslam. Very good wrestling by Punk in the opening minutes. Halfway about in the match, Punk executes a sweet Sunset Flip but Morrison kicks out. Punk goes for his turnbuckle high knee-bulldog combo, but Morrison blocks the bulldog. Punk then hits a nice enziguri kick for a 2-count. Punk goes for a clothesline but Morrison counters with a neckbreaker-backbreaker combo for a 2. Morrison tries to hit his Corkscrew Neckbreaker but Punk blocks it. Punk shortly after hitsA VICIOUS MOONSAULT (which we don't see much of that from punk) for a 2 count. Punk went for his knee-bulldog but Morrison blocks. He then pins using the ropes for leverage and wins the match with a typical heel tactic in 7 minutes. A very nice match but an unsatisfying ending.

6. THE RETURN OF TRIPLE H. HHH vs King Bookaaarrrr!!! - Both great wrestlers an outstanding performers. Triple H recieves an AMAZING pop for his return. King Bookaarr waits for the Game to come out. HHH comes out and does the usual water spraying entrance. Looks a lot happier in his entrance and a lot smaller. He lost a few pounds. The match was good. I guess. I would have expected more moves from both of them. Some nice back and forth action from both guys. HHH soon hits a figure 4 but Sharmell intervenes. Booker then hits a super kick for a 2 count. Back and forth again until King Booker hits a BOOK END! a 2 COUNT. Booker uses a side slam then goes for a Harlem Hangover (tope rope flip-like move) but HHH moves away. HHH does his signature crotch chop. I fell asleep for exactly how the ending happened, but Triple H won. Triple H getting a big pop and smiled as he bowed to the fans. A good match, but not GREAT.

7.5 / 10

7. Batista vs The Great Khali. WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE! Okay, now I'm gonna bash both of these guys. This was the biggest bunch of BS match I've ever seen. NEITHER OF THESE GUYS CAN WRESTLE. This match was very boring. Whats Khali's moveset?

Punch, Clothesline, Chop, Boot, Double Handed Chokebomb, Head Crush

And Batistas?

Punch, Clothesline, Spinebuster, Powerbomb, Spear, Samoan Drop (VERY RARELY)

Hmmm not much depth. At all.

These guys can't wrestler. And they can't do good long matches. This match was short and repetitive. Punch, punch, kick, punch, clothesline and OH NO! OUT OF NOWHERE! A PREDICTABLE SPINEBUSTER! Khali must drop the title to Kane or Finlay or Undertaker or Edge or even Matt Hardy. Batista recieved the biggest push undeservingly. Everyone backstage hates him. The kids go crazy for him but NEWSFLASH! he's a crock of s***. Both of these guys need to be LOW CARDERS. Batista hits spinebuster, goes for Batista Bomb and Khali is given a chair by TRANSLATOR! The fans were chanting "BORING BORING" and no wonder why. I had to keep myself awake thinking something good would happen. It didn't. Khali hits him with a chair. DQ!!! Batista gets up, hits a spearand destroys Khali with a chair. But more than one both as you could clearly see some chair shots weren't hitting him. Okay, so Batista wins by DQ. NO TITLE CHANGE. The most awful match ever.

They promoted the DVD release of The Condemned.

Backstage, Vince McMahon was chatting with Jonathan Coachman. William Regal said a woman had arrived. Before Regal could explain, Vince told him to bring her in. Regal brought in Mae Young and the Fabulous Moolah. Regal explained that Mae didn't give birth to Vince's son, but she wants to give birth to one. Mae tackled Vince and put him in a liplock. Regal and Moolah eventually pulled Mae out of the room. Vince spat and complained about the taste in his mouth. Coach offered him a Tic-tac. Vince suddenly realized he liked the taste, and said that Mae had turned him on. Coach said that was disgusting, and Vince said "Old chickens make good chicken soup". ABSOLUTELY DISUSTING. POINTLESS. WHY? DONT KNOW! Excuse my bad grammar. Their were around 17,000 people there, can't remember an exact figure.

7. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP. John Cena vs Randy Orton - This was built up to be the match of the night. Good match. But... well I'll explain. Randy Orton comes out to a mixed reaction. Cena's fans (kids and ladies) boo Randy Orton while the men (the more proper wrestling fans) cheer him. This guy deserves it. This guy must be wwe champion. Randy Orto has amazing mic skills, can cut good promos, can work extremely well, is liked by a lot of guys backstage, is now on his best behaviour and is a very good wrestler. Cena on the other hand, well... his entrance music hits, I like his theme song. I like his CD. He raps good. I like The Marine, he acts good, good movie. HOWEVER, comes out, his side cheer, Randy's side boos. They ain't boos because they just dislike him. Before Summerslam I was a big cena fanboy. But my patience was being tested. I will compare movesets.

Cena: Punch, Kick, Clothesline (VERY OFTEN), Backdrop Powerbomb like thing he always does, Fist Drop, Fireman's Carry, STF, Headlock Throw, Throwback, Leg Drop

To think he can do so much more than that, he can't.

Orton: Punch, Dropkick, Clothesline, Sleeper, Headlock Throw, Lifting Gutwrench Neckbreaker, Inverted necklock backbreaker, gutbuster, Rope elevated DDT (one of the nicest looking moves in this match), Superplex, RKO, Cross Body, Elbow Drop

Hmm, Orton the better wrestler. I shall now compare people beaten (recently)

Orton: HBK, RVD, Dusty Rhodes and Sgt Slaughter. All of which Orton deserve. He's being built as a Legend Killer and these are good choices by WWE.

Cena: Edge, HBK, RVD, KHALI, BOBBY LASHLEY, King Booker, HHH, Big Show, KURT ANGLE, UMAGA. Okay, having Cena moe down everyone is just f****d up. Come on, BOBBY LASHLEY? GREAT KHALI? UMAGA? I don't think so. It's also been credited by HHH that the company would turn better profit from Orton being the champ. Come on.

Orton hits a headlock throw and applies a sleeper. Dueling cheers for the wrestler. "LET'S GO CENA, LET'S GO ORTON!" "LET'S GO CENA! CENA SUCKS!" Very nice to hear all that loud shouting. Cena tries too hard to sell. Orton sells perfectly. Orton hits an uppercut, and shortly after, hits a vicious forearm to the back for a 2 count. Orton hits a shoulder block soon after and send Cena head first on to the announce table. Ouch. Lol. Shame he can't work. They get back into the ring and Cena reverses an attack into a back-suplex powerbomb thing he always does, let's just call that move, Crapsuplex. Because it's so boring and repetitive. Cena is boring and repetitive. His gimmick is stale. Orton's is just good. It makes him a great main-eventer but WWE won;t see that BIG changes need to be made. Cena misses a charge and hits the turnbuckle. Orton stomps and picks apart at Cena's body parts. Misses a kneedrop. Cena gets up, bounces off ropes and is then powerslammed by Orton for a 2 count. Orton hits a tremendous dropkick for a 2 count. Both cheers are heard. Oh, some back and forth action until, HERE IT COMES! "REPETITIVE CENA MATCH-WINNING SEQUENCE!" He reverses a strike into a Crapsuplex. Does his U CANT SEE ME and hits the 5-Knuckle Crapfistdrop. Cena goes for the Fireman's Crappy F-U but Orton elbows Cena and hits a fast-as-lightning inverted necklock backbreaker. That move looks cool. Cena rolls to the apron and Orton sets up to execute his super DDT. Puts Cena's feet on the 2nd rope and then BAM!Super DDT from Orton. That moves looks amazing each time he does it. A 2 count. Orton wants the RKO but Cena reverses, runs for Orton and falls outside ring. Back into the ring for a 2 count. Cena hits his Throwback although there was no flip movement from Cena so it just looked like a botched neckbreaker or a hangman neckbreaker. Cena goes to the top rope but Orton blasts him. Orton is pushed off and Cena hits a leg drop on a bent over Orton, looked a bit like a Rocker Dropper. Sets up for the Fireman's Crappy F-U but Orton grabs the top rope. He then hits a sort of rope neckbreaker like move that springs Cena down to the mat. Orton wants the RKO but Cena barely moves so he prepares for his Death Kick. Cena dodges, knocks down Orton and hits the STF!!! STF! Wow! It doesn't even look like a real STF! Orton struggles but soon reaches the rope. Seconds after, SMASH! BANG! RKO! THE RKO! It's over! ORTON WINS! ORTON IS THE WINNER!

Or maybe not... in comes SUPERCENA! To kick out of the RKO! Orton lifts up Cena but reverses it and hits the Fireman's Crappy F-U! And yes it's over at 21 minutes. Your winner and still the champion. John Cena. A great match but how did Cena win?
