Disrespect and Dishonor (Friends please read and give your opinions)

I'm not used to writing blogs, nor am I used to sharing my thoughts, feelings and opinions with others so be gentle.

The reason I'm writing this is to reassess my general understanding of the current state of gamers as well as human beings as a whole. I'm a reasonably smart individual though certainly nothing prodigal, nonetheless I often find myself greatly lacking in the ability to empathize with an individuals points of view from a logical standpoint, nor from any other standpoint I might add.

Generally I've lived a somewhat sheltered life, but I've been exposed to the worst aspects of humanity from time to time. What I'm curious about is the general lack of mutual respect or any sense of personal accountability or honor amongst human beings in the current age. I'm simply incapable of comprehending their motives or the reason they believe that their actions are in anyway justified.

One particular area of irritation for me are the comments often left after an article or video. Most of the time you'll find someone who in someway shows an alarming amount of disrespect or dishonor either to the other posters or sometimes the reviewer/individual whose article is in question. What I fail to understand however is why this behaviour almost seems to go universally unreprimanded by my fellows at this site. Some might argue that they deserve to say their piece whatever it may be, I'd have to disagree, most of the time it simply seems that they have nothing on their mind except for filling the world with negative energy for absurd or nonexistant reasons.

I can't really point out any specific post, but trust me they exist. As I pondered this though I began to wonder if this was the inevitable direction that the newer generations (Most of the disrespectful being young offenders, I Hope) who being blessed by to much freedom and progress are pointed in.

I realize that that may not make sense, its common knowledge that hardships build character and personal strength with each new generation being reared in an increasingly spoiled manner Is it inevitable for us to end in a world filled with overprivileged brats who are incapable of showing respect or acting with decency.

My own personal rule is that dignity is what seperates humanity from beasts, without dignity humanity is just another ignorant beast. I've also lived believing that if a man should live he must strive to be above anything petty, a man who surrenders to his pettiness is not deserving of being called a man. Lastly I believe that nothing is more pathetic then someone who in an effort to hide their weakness acts with unyielding callousness, though I can certainly understand an individuals desire to hide their weakness given the generally callous and ignorant state that the world has devolved into.

The reason im writing this is for the valuable feedback my friends and any others would be willing to give regarding their thoughts on this and to assess the value of my ties with said individuals. If you could enlighten me as to why humanity is slowly devolving into the utterly unsalvageable cultural mockery that they are I'd be grateful. Also if you wish to defend humanity and the path its taking I'd be happy to consider your defense.

I suppose when its all said and done I just want to live in an honorable world, with honorable people, who act in a dignified manner to pursue personal happiness as well as advancement of the species as a whole. I want to live in a world where people can find true love, live supporting one another and not be afraid to show weakness for fear of being preyed upon by the insensible masses. I'll agree that my perception of ethics may seem draconian but I believe that if certain elements where removed from the world that things could move in a much more beneficial direction for humanity as well as each individual.

Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, to be beautiful and to live beautifully. Any right the (Freedom of speech) that attempts in anyway to supercede the rights of individuals to live in a dignified manner must be removed. For example an indivdual should'nt have the right to openly insult or offend another without reason yet I see it happen far more often then I like. I'm not saying theres no room for constructive criticism provided that it is put forth in a friendly and supportive manner I'm just tired of people taking cheap shots at others who don't deserve any form of reprimand and not being scolded to all hell for doing so.

I suppose I could just say "Aaaah, they are asses" and leave it at that, but my problem lies in the reason for the existance of "Asses" in the first place and the reason why they are not rebuked into utter submission. (I'm being lenient here as I'd probably just destroy them myself)

Anyway leave your thoughts, I'd prefer lengthy analysis of and response to my blog rather then simply saying "Nice blog, I agree" or something of that sort. I really am looking for earnest input here.
