[QUOTE="ShoTTyMcNaDeS"]

Guys I am wanting to get into a mmo and was wondering if I either get back into WoW at this point or wait a couple of months for SWTOR? I am currently playing the ftp version of WoW and at level 20 will have to make a decision as to whether I pony up for the full upgrade. I am not into spending hours upon hours running large instances and things like that. I play MMO's just for fun and at my pace. That is not to say that I wouldnt join a guild, but these types of games will not dictate my life.

If you are looking to get into mmos than avoid ToR like the plague for a few months after launch because so far there has not been an mmo without terrible problems at release (except Rift I suppose that went pretty smoothly).

New MMO's lately have had fairly clean releases. Nothing like what WoW had when it released. I don't think nasty release bugs is something you have to worry about as much anymore. Code has been done before so developers know how to avoid the problems better. That doesn't mean that there will be zero bugs, but not anything that will be game-changing I don't think.

I don't think WoW has died or will die. It still has over 11 million subscribers, even with all the League of Legends thing happening lately, what with all the transferring gamers. 11 million is a lot! Especially for $15 bucks a month.

I think that it will have an excellent single-player style gameplay. Story and such will be pretty cool, but as far as the rest goes, I just don't know.

I'm getting SWTOR, but I play WoW. I see myself doing what I've done with other MMO's that I've tried: play it for a couple months and then go back to WoW. That's not to say that SWTOR will be a bad game (I'm very excited about the game!), it's just that I've put a lot into WoW and so many people play it that it's hard to move on. And I won't pay two monthly fees. So, I'll choose WoW.

I love Starcraft II. I own Empire Total War but I don't play it anymore. Most strategy games get boring to me after a pretty short time.

I prefer Battlefield 3 personally, but I think MW3 will sell a lot better. Although, compared to the last few Call of Duty entries, MW3 seems to be getting less attention.

My personal opinion goes to Blizzard, but Rockstar is close to the top of my list as well. I agree. Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption were both excellent games. I haven't played LA Noire yet, but Rockstar knows a good game, and they seem like a gaming company who cares about making good games.

Huge following still, but as already mentioned, hacking is an issue. If you plan on playing with friends that shouldn't be too much of an issue. If not, it's hit and miss with matches that you play.

It's definitely more fun online, but it's not awful solo. But, as cheap as it is, and how many people are buying it, I'd recommend purchasing it and playing it online with random groups or just find a group here on the forums somewhere to play with. I thought it was great playing with people.
