Steam has totally changed me, well, and PC gaming...I used to be fine with paying £30-£40 on a new game, now I look at something above £15 as a 'bit much' haha So far got Crysis complete for £6 and arma 2 oa for £10, don't like todays deals but tomorrow will get something :)
My system (Gonna put pics up later): AMD Phenom X4 965 BE 3.4GHz HD 6870 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM Corsair CX600 600W PSU I got this for about £400, pretty happy. Was my first build and went well, kind of. I screwed up the case, loads of scratches and stuff :P but it was only £20 and I'm going to upgrade in say a year maybe less if its fans die. Could somebody recommend a real good case (not too expensive of course) I'm going to Crossfire 6870s in a year or so so might aswell upgrade case psu and gpu at the same time. :) Pics will be up later, but it's pretty ugly. Would you say I did well in the price/performance department? Was running ArmA 2 max settings earlier, and realised what an awesome investment this was. :D
I don't quite get you but I'll guess...basically in my case I have bad internet at my mums house (were I am most of the time) but my dad has real fast internet speeds, so when I go there I download games on his laptop, then copy the ncf file of that game from the steamapps folder and copy the folder for the game from the common folder onto a pen drive, place them both on my desktop at home, launch steam and it says you have to install/download again but just click install and it recognises most the files are still there and doesn't download, just works, as long as you're in your account of course :P If you're on about what I think, then yeah it will work.Been watching some Hell's Highway vids and it looks like my kinda game... hmmm... I have a question.. In order for steam games to work, you have to have all the games and steam program in one harddrive, correct? I can just uninstall and re-install all my steam games on the new harddrive and it will work fine?

I want something like mass effect 2 or red faction.
fend_oblivion
Gears of War
Resident Evil 4 (with mods)
Resident Evil 5
Dead Space
Splinter Cell Conviction
I would say all these but maybe lean towards SC Conviction and GOW as they are less restricted in terms of movement compared to the others, and that's more like ME2 and Red Faction. :)
