Well GS I've been around over 10 years now on this acct.. I still remember getting that PS2 EQOAF beta disk in the mail! Here's hoping the changes are a success
so it is tested waters that failed on PC gaming because people would rather steal and find ways around it than cope with it... your solution is to force it down console player throats?
@MatrixGamer78 This has been known since day 1, minh comes from simon fraser university in vancouver bc and this mod even includes a transit station from the area.
@CriticalCritic @aryeec i will not insult, but will say that aryeec is indeed correct, especially due in part to arma being the successor to operation flashpoint which garnered a large audience as well.
edit: i think most of that fanbase came from europe.. was way bigger there than my neck of the woods haha
I grew up primarily a PC gamer. I was first introduced to online play with counterstrike 1.5 on a 28.8k dialup connection.. then I got ps2 online and used that (since it also had a phone line hub).. after some time it was onto/mixed with bf1942, eq, moh:aa, rtcw, wwii online, ro on ut2003, planetside etc... I started PC gaming at probably one of the best times possible and for that reason will always love it more than any console. With that being said, I do own a PS3 and 360... both by all means have their merits I have played some great games on both.. but at least to me any type of multiplayer is absolutely unrivaled with the likes of buddies on teamspeak and whatever you desire.. in 30 seconds you can go from watching some horrible movie you found on the bottom of the internet to blasting face in TF2.
its funny nobody here even understands what they are talking about. The 5870 is direct competition to the 480. Their pricepoint differences are 50$. The 5850 is direct competition with the 470, retailing at 40$ more. (these prices are vastly different in the UK, however) The 5970 is a dualGPU card.. it's not a standalone gpu that retails for 130$ more than the 480. It 'would' be the winner of this test but it doesn't make sense to put it here because nvidia is not going after its market right now (they also said the 480 isn't capable of going dualgpu due to its size)
