I thought it had some valid points, although I must admit I liked the BR better in Halo 2; it went from power weapon to something I mostly ignored.

I found this on a Tech News Blog, by the same guy who wrote Why The PS3 Will Fail:

That's exactly what I was saying! Everyone just says, oh, well he's not a big industry guy like Hastings, so what he has to say is meaningless. I ask you, why does a person's background matter if their arguments are backed up? It's the ones that simply discredit him for no reason that are the fanboys. He gives reasons why the PS3 will fail, whereas you guys simply say, "No it won't." Tell me again, which one sounds more fanboyish?

those aren't his arguments - he just says that after he proves Hastings is stupid. Jeez, you accuse him of being an idiot, when you guys just read the parts you want to see. You're the fanboys.

Just one question why is this fanboy (Peter Chapman) so rude and angry?
He is calling Brian Hastings an idiot?
Man, Hastings is just a gamedesigner who tells us his opinion!
And Peter? Well Peter is a nobody with a blog, who tells us his opinion in a very unprofessional way.
So if Hastings is wrong, why does Peter care so much?
There are other developers and analysts in who say the same!

I also think Angry Peter makes some good technical points. I could do without some of the bashing, but hey, that's why it's ANGRY Peter, right?

I also didn't like how Hastings makes a big deal about being an independant developer when in reality Insomniac has crawled so far up Sony's butt that they'd need a flashlight to find their way out.
