I got the YLOD on my original 80gb, did some searching and found the above article. I called Sony tech support and of course they had no answer other than paying for repairs. Anyone else with a launch model having this issue? Just from reading around it seems like there has been a spike in YLOD after this 3.6.1 update. So is Sony putting out firmware updates that the fat systems just cant keep up with, or am Ibeing paranoid?

pretty sweet setup i must say. my buddy has the same tv, not too expensive and great quality. i might pick one up for myself.

so i'd trade my wii (and games and stuff) for a 60 gig PS3 and some games that i want + cash. There isn't a warranty and i was wondering if its worth and if the warranty is really needed. at first i was gonna just sell my wii for 650 cash and buy a new one but this way i think i'd be getting a better deal. i need to know if its worth it, if i neeed the warranty and cautions i should have.
