I got the ring of death last night. Went through all the diagnostics with no results. Spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Xbox support.3 to 5 days for my coffin to come, and 3 to 5 weeks for repair. It sucks that this happened right before Christmas. Now I'm actually going to have to spend time with my family ;) I guess I'll have to cross my fingers that I get a good repair. My360 lasted 10 months, which seems lame to me. My Original Xbox is still working after 7 years. The Xbox support guy said that I could buy and extended warranty, but if they send me a crappy refurb, I'll have to weigh that against the cost of buying a newer, improved version.
If you notice, it does try and level things out a bit. It will try and put players together so that both teams have roughly the same level of experienced players.
A lot of times, a company will give up the rights to certain properties in order to make a break from their parent company. Nintendo probably kept the rights to those titles when the two companies seperated.
I regularly play with a clan of female gamers and they are great. They are just as competitive and trash talky as guys, once you get to know them. Guys who can't stand gaming with females are just small minded. Those types are kicked whenever possible.
Once, on Halo3, we lost a match to a team with a girl and some guy says, "You just lost to a girl", like it was supposed to hurt my feelings or something. What a douche.

There found on the battle field and you may also unlock different classes by ehmm.. killing ;)
Yeah you unlock weapon upgrades by gaining experience. BUT! You can pick up the upgraded weapons that are dropped when people die. I think that's also how you get ammo(if it's the same weapon).

You have to go into account managment and look in your download histroy, or purchase history, I forget which one it's called and select download again. There are instructions on CoD4's website, charlieoscardelta.com
You should check to make sure your router is xbox compatible, what ever that means. I tried linksys first but had no luck. I now use a Netgear with no problems.What was said above is true. Make sure it's hooked up right (your computer has internet signal) and then just plug your Xbox in one of the open ports.
I'm from the UK and I've been playing with guys who are from the US and some of them really got on my nerves *oh look at kash he only has 7 kills, we don't want him on our team*. I didn't say anything and just ignored them but they have played the game more than me, got better weapons and got more upgrades so I don't think they should be putting others who just joined the beta down.
Other than that the beta is superb! :)
