okay i think we can all state that the 360 was the first and probably the ONLY console to have achievments for acomplishing things in a certain game.agreed?

ZIMdoom

Uhmmmm...no. If you mean having such a thing STANDARD with every game, then yes. HOwever, MS did not invent the idea of doing something in a game to unlock special extras. Not even close.

And if MS cared so much about originality, then they wouldn't need to dish out big cash to buy up all the developers and games that were made famous on other consoles. They should be able to just have their own ideas, right?

that's just stupid you honestly expect microsoft to make every single game on it's console by itself, does the PS3 do that. No, Get real. Also achievements don't "unlock special extras" they're badge of honours. Name one console(or game even) that predates the 360 that did that.

Wow, I didn't know so much dribble could come out of one persons mouth. First of all you're personnel views are clearly overly biased. You say "Most of the 360 games are garbage" where did you get such rubbish, clearly your own personnel views. Also everyone who knows anything about the graphics processors on the 2 consoles knows that the 360s is superior. Next time get your facts right. Also try doing the math right.

360 premium=£200

Live=12 months=40

So to match a ps3 40g it would give you a 360 and 2 and a half years of live(not one).

P.s Current 360 failure rates are 10-15%(hardly 1/3). Get it right. Kapeesh

Why is it that 90% of all the fanboys here are PS3 owners. It's kind of sad that you PS3 fanatics feel you have to defend your PS2 with internet. Almost like a religion. All faith and no fact. They've got what, only 2 or 3 games that would convince someone to even consider getting a PS3. What goods a console if you've got no good games to play on it. Don't get me started on the future releases, what a joke. What has the PS3 got the 360 hasn't.

Internet= who in there right mind would buy a console for Internet that's just idiotic, that's what PCs are for.

Blu-ray= since when did more space on a disk make games any better...... get real. It's hard enough for game company's to make games on the PS3 let alone make a game substantial enough to fit on a blu-ray.

Blu-ray=pointless when it comes to games.

Next time think before you dribble.

Same thing can be said about Xbox 360 fanboys! I find 90% of Xbox 360 fanboys get REALLY aggressive trying to defend their console and usually with the same ol excuses of massive line up of games (even though 90% of those games are generic boring rubbish) and always pointing out the same flaws with the PS3 which is NOTHING compared with Xbox 360's flaws.

Your just jealous the Xbox 360 doesnt have Blu Ray... I feel sorry for those who bought a HD-DVD add-on for the Xbox 360 - only good use those will be now would be a paper weight! Oh and theres another thing Microsoft attempted to copy! Failed.

Sorry but I'm exempt from jealosy. I'm not capable of producing that emotion, and as for flaws and excuses the only good arguement a PS3 lover can come up with is the red ring of death but if that doesn't happen to you(like with most people I know) then the 360 is superior in every way(games, graphics, community, price etc).

P.S Blu ray will never be significant in this current gen, maybe next time. end of story, kappesh, stick that where the sun don't shine and peace out.

Since when did free internet become a good thing. What would you prefer dial up or broadband? I would rather pay for a good cheap online service than a slow unreliable free one.

I'm sorry man, but every single thread I read of your is really unintelligent and not well thought out.

I know I personally would rather have a 3-D trophy then a stupid icon that people can only see by digging through the molasses speed of the guide.

and how is that different? and explain why you feel the need for insults

Hmm, I agree that Sony is taking achievements and making them into trophies. What I don't understand is why you say they are downgrades compared to achievements. We don't even know fleshed out they'll be as HOME isn't out yet. It all comes down to whether or not you want a physical representation or number on a card.Ibacai

eh..... explain what's phsyical about a pixelated trophy?
