I just had to go old school! For me, Link from The Legend of Zelda which was released in 1989 is the first hero I encountered as I started my gaming experience as a youngster. From there and on, Link always has been one of my favorite gaming characters. Link embodies the perfect ideal vision of what a hero should be as he continues his mastery over the enemies he has encountered over time. With that being said, he deserves to be the last person standing at the end of the tournament.
