What you people don't seem to get is that the psp is portable playstation! Just because the games on it are similar to ps2 doesn't mean it's something BAD! Sure the DS has amazing unique gameshow does that make it better than the psp?Are you going to be playing your DS at home? That's not the point of a handheld! The psp lets you enjoy all your good ps2 games and some new ones anywhere. Sure at home it won't be that great because you have your ps2 but why the hell would you play a handheld at home?

It's a portable ps2! Not a specifically new handheld like the DS. And that doesn't make the psp worse than the DS! Unless you're trying to say that the DS is a better gaming device than the ps2 :? Which is just stupidity.

biggest difference between psp and DS = games. ds is far out with brain age, nintendogs, warioware. psp has mature, but definately NON innovative games. the reason DS definately has an upper hand over the psp is because it has broader appeal, kids, parents, teenagers. psp only caters to the 18-25 demographic, but that's OK, infact that's the reason i bought a PSP

i'll try not to violate the TOS but here it goes: psp games don't sell because of two main reasons. most aren't too good to begin with (most important), second, they get pirated. ALOT.

first one is self explanatory. as for the later, DS is significantly harder to pirate. you'll see a trend when you look at console vs pc piracy, ds vs psp piracy. whenever people must shell out $$$ to buy something that will let them pirate games, it doesn't take off. when there's no middleman involved, aka a modch** or something like that, piracy is rampant. that's why consoles, ds, 360s don't get pirated...as much.

ofcourse you have the hardcore pirates. they'll hack any firmwire, buy all the modch**s, etc. but these guys are really the minorities i think.

i'm not a pirate, i don't pirate anything and i'm damn proud of it. why? i don't know.
