Japan, weakening power in video game, or seed soon to blossom?

Remember back in the good ol' days when japan pretty much pumped out all that was great in video games?
The grand RPG adventures, the epic platforming games, the hybrids, the shooters, everything! Now take a look
at modern day japan published games, and you can stedily see a decline. And yes, i take in note the mighty

SE company (Squear Enix) but who knows maybe its the higher developement costs for what is now the current
generation on consoles.Or maybe the creative spark has just gone from the land of the rising sun, naw that
can't be with new titles such as Super Pii Pii bothers out in japan (http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/superpiipii.html).
(I'm so sorry i had to bring that up.. So so sorry, i'll call my counselor now..) Only the developers really know whats
affecting the japanese market, but with what little, or alot us gamers know we can throw some rocks and land
a couple of educated hypothesis.

In my views, rising development costs, riskier setbacks if games do not succed has lead to Japanese companies
taking the 'safety' route to development. Only few companies that have the resources and the means to be
somewhat creative are companies like 'Atlus' and 'Mistwalker' who are set to try new and "emotional experiences."
But who knows maybe a new Japanese wonder of gaming will spring out, out of no where.

But till then we just need to sit back and wonder, whats going on with my japanese games! Where's my crazy new
3D megaman!? So feel free to discuss in the comments, or ramble about my stupidity or total lack of writing skills.
