wow i havent played kz2 since release week, i gave up at the exact same part. the sticky aiming and poor controls made it damn near impossible to get past that part. its such a shame because everything about that game was good except the controls. made me give up on multiplayer too.
i picked it up today, im enjoying it a lot. i've done a couple marine missions and a couple alien missions and some multiplayer and if you can look past the minor flaws in controls and AI its enjoyable. being a fan of AvP helps too. also i've been getting really sick of call of duty and mag and all the typical online shooters. its a nice change of pace for me.
more exclusive AAA titles. Facebook application (better than the 360s lame one) make it so i dont ahve to insert a f*cking blu-ray every time i want to get on netflix music store (similar to itunes) more exclusive PSN games (they have a strong selection already but i want more) thats all i can think of right now.
well i cant recomend any JRPGs since i generally cant stand them (people seem to be excited for FF13 though) so my advice is go with fallout 3, turn the difficulty to very easy, and enjoy. my best friend is a girl, this was her first RPG and she did very well with it. (were talking about the type of girl gamer who cant walk and turn at the same time in call of duty). but if you dont like the wasteland setting of fallout try oblivion, same thing with a fantasy setting and some minor changes to gameplay.
the demo was good.. during the action parts but the investigating just seemed like a chore, combing the grass scanning for evidence, then half of what u find is irrelevent to the crime. overall impressive idea and i'm on board. wont pick it up on release cause i wont have time to beat it before i leave for training (cant game there) but i look forward to this one.
yeah i'm not suprised at all by the review, it seems fair to me. everything he said was spot on (based on my time in the demo, and i've spent hours in it) however, fans of the franchise will overlook the issues and enjoy the game for what it is. im not cancelling my pre-order, i may skip most of the campaigns and stick to the multiplayer but im going to at least give each one a shot. cant wait for this game tomarrow.
