Vivendi is pretty close to EA in terms of killing any good will their developers have amassed withing a year then selling off the assets when they fail to deliver on unreasonable expectations and rushed garbage.

The only ones allowed to be effective in all match-ups are Tracer, Genji, and 76.

Because they are SUPER lazy and this way the just had to recolor an already existing skin.

Who do they have making skins for this game? Monkeys? Because with the money they have made on this you would think they could put out more than 1 or 2 skins every month that aren't just recolors of already available ones. Hell the OW characters in HotS have better looking and more varied skins than they do in OW.

This movie is getting reviews that are all over the map. Some people are saying it is great, some people are saying it is bad, some people say it is thought provoking, other people say it's a disjointed mishmash of cliches with characters making completely unbelievable decisions, still others say it's visually stunning and conversely that the visual elements are poorly done.

I really don't know what to believe when io9 says it is bad, Ars says it is good, and A.V Club says their reviewers are split. Considering the last time I was told a non-mainstream sci-fi movie was great, it turned out so bad I almost walked out (Arrival), I'm going to lean towards believing the bad reviews and get it when it comes to streaming services.

The actress playing Myriam Bancroft is cringe-inducingly awful every time she is on screen. I have seen her in other stuff where she was equally terrible, awful casting job IMO. The guy playing Kovachs (I think he was in The Wolverine) in the flashbacks is also terrible. The only one who was consistently above passable was the actress playing Ortega.

Definitely "sponcon". If you have read the book and enjoyed it, then the TV show is bad. Bad acting, bad revisions (especially the Envoy backstory), way too much pointless sex/nudity not present in the books (to hook the GoT fans).

I am a big fan of the Kovachs novels as well as The Expanse books. The Expanse got their source material right and the changes they made were reasonable (the authors are actually producers on the TV show). The acting is rather "meh" but I can live with that. Netflix fucked it up with Altered Carbon because they didn't understand the source material and just used it as window dressing to make a cyberpunk GoT.

Take-away = Altered Carbon will piss you off if you like the books. If you are going in blind and can get past the bad acting then it may be OK depending on whether you like GoT.
