Whilst Halo: Combat Evolved did much for mainstreaming console FPS. I would personally not put it in the top 10, and would definately rank the likes of Battlefield or Battlefield 2 above it.

It's an excellent game, but in terms of competing with a lot of PC FPS games, it doesn't stack up to some of them.

It's not about multiplayer, it's about basing the quality of something, whether a console or game, on how many people play it. People brag about Halo being great because 1 million people play it a day, you could say that the Wii is the best console because more people own one more than any other console, and we all know that is a fallicous argument

Sure, Lems got DMC4 and Ace Combat, but more and more it seems to be the exception to the rule that the 360 is somehow the second coming of Microsoft. When MS got exclusive DLC for GTAIV, Sony responds with an exclusive franchise from R*.

It looks like the 360 had a real strong run there, but with MS selling off their first party like Bungie or simply closing the doors. It makes you wonder if there will be anything left by the time the 720 comes around. Even if MS break 40M consoles sold this gen, whose to say how much of that was due to hardware failure? The sales are real strong for games like shooters, but one day people are going to wake up and realize they can skip an MS console altogether and buy a graphics card and the new controller then call it a day. Are the publishers wising up to it, too?

Why do lems act like 3 year warranties are a good thing? Since when has hardware failure become a standard that extensive warranties are needed to replace them? It's like lems think that it's completely normal to replace a broken console :lol:
