Assassin's Creed II

i'm playing or have been for 1night 1 day now ac 2 and like ac 1, following a short period (2hours) of epic boredom making you wondereing why you did go buyin it, you get an awesome lot of 'can't get the controller down! caaaaaaaaaan't ' moments.

yep it is noon i've been playing for hours on end and nothing. i can't get that pad down sme thing hours laters . the thing is, like agathat cristie there is a trick. here is a LOT to collect. i won' list what so you can discover them but there are a LOT to collect and you might fgfind yourself trying to get that thing there that is shinning so much it is lke it is calling you. while you do tha a pickpocket apprears infront of you and you get on with the chase, you brush too much the shoulder of a guard and he and his frined and the ones guarding that spot there you ddn't see at first too are chasing you chasing the pickpocket running for his live over buildings and what not. tackle him kill him or not and the guards are on you. now
WEAPONS
i don't get yet how to disarm . i'm on the whole parry/kill thing gameplay wise.
and i just discovered that using the hidden blade to kill opponents in duels is far more gruesome and violent. it is the deadspace 1rst weapon for the whole game kinda dileama. why using other guns when this one is so good?
but it is reallly refreshing and satisfying gameplay wise.
hiting, imposing your force upon opponents brutaly rampaging them. then using the heavy and impressive cimitar, switching back to the hidden blade for that annoying guy always looking for hitting you in the back.

i usually end up doing nothing but jumping around roofs ad killing nozy guards with?..... an arabic accent!
yep it is more Arabic than italian!!
nice touch? involuntary? i don't know but i is funny.

that shiny thing from backthen, you already forgot about it.

you want to ply it? you can, but i advise playing the first one first because even if both re really diff, the first one is way more limited in the wxorlds, abilities.....well lets just say that they ogt with the success, the green light to go overboard with cities and what not. you can een collect armors, paintings from the renaissance, weapons....and have everything exposed in your castle/villa (it is a mansion, RE1 style, with peasants haouses, shops, down the mansion and great castle-like walls).

morality? collecting is addicting

IMPRESSIVE
textures, attention to detail, number of hours and gigantic cities (3-4).
i played the first one as i f i was batman so i played that one as that too.
the cities lack life. i mean MORE life. but you will be so into you missions that people will be more of an indrance than any thing.

by the way:
the rhythm of the game, the story the design of the game.....everything is top nortch. forget the ever repetitive 1rst one, this one will ENTERTAIN YOU. non stop.
the only things lacking are little additions . events in town, characters...the hole game seems like a long train goin full speed. what laks is more stations. maybe in ac 3.

there are some things though....clipping.but more textures appearing late. gliches....nothingg much and no gameendingbug.
that game and the edition i waited to buy the complete one, is fantastic. specialy at that price it is now. savor that game well.

-ediot-
2big cities,2 small ones, 1 HQ.by the way, venice is twce as big when you acess what you couldnt your 1rst playthrough. even if there isnt quite much to do kleft but missions races and stuff.
you CAN continue the gathering of the truth though.

it is a shame there isn't romùance in it. kinda like the choice thing for romance and girls. it would be the perfet game for that.

Assassin's Creed

8.0 if you bought it like me, at $3.
repetitive but fun . interesting story but quick play through.
on PC you don't get achievements so it kinds of bores me to go find all the flags an all the Templars (some are hidden very well you really have to explore the towns and the areas in between (sorts of canyons/corridors you take to get to a city the first time).

backtracking much?
once you've done all cities once, you get baaaack to them two other times each, so no worries, there is still stuff to look at even if there is only 3 cities. and they kinda look like each other. aside from acre. it is about the 'photo'...you know, the main colour of the picture...don't think the whole game is sand color because it is jerusalem and stuff.
it IS sandy (think soft yellow) but the settings change enough that you don't really get annoyed by the same reoccurring setting. each town IS different though. it is a strange feeling but during my play i could see a screenshot and tell everytime witch city it was without actually knowing the part itself...
acre s a nice change of pace. the city is actually metal grey and is different from the others: french people are among the living.

what was that griberishh?
THE thing that made me come back again is how they put things together in that game. even if it is clearly not half of what ppl hoped for, it does have polish and a nice point not everyone (no one i can think of) pointed out is the dub.
people in the game talk with a HEAVY Arab accent. the same as people in ac2 speaking with a HEAVY italian accent.

I
LIKE
why? you really seem to be out there immersed in the world wasting you life in the real world. this is one of the best touch i ever saw in a videogame and i have been playing since the gameboy. everything they say seems ti s from the neighbouring Arabian district/corner/bloc that is immersion. remember how people said that nazis shouldn't speak perfect German in games? they got it t righ here. and even more!!!!
SPOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILEEEEEERRRRRRRS
towards the end the machine begin to make less and less efforts in talks on the street and what not, not even translating any more so most of the towns people talk arab between themselves. how fantastic is that???)
SPOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRS

poor secondary chars .
don't loose your mind at the mention of kristen bell. she is so badly rendered that if you don't know it is her....
i knew ubisoft to do good things but that level of laziness...... it is as if naughtydogs made tomb raider 3. it isn't that horrible, alright but really unsettling. towards the end i was glad to finish with that game but kind of sad too, leaping from anywhare is fantastic enough (and i don't tell you about the thrill of the story however minimal it is. you have to find/live through missions to...well im already saying too much. lets just say you quite don't know what they are putting you into)
i won't review all chars but most of them if not all are 1 dimensional chars . no elena fisher here, just plain old target and such.
the twist is you work against christians and for what would be called a terrorist force nowadays ....^^
anyhow.

dreamy gameplay
you won't drop to your doom or miss a step or something here. the gameplay is the strength of the game that one can see even now with uncharted(enslaved is really lame -demo- at that ). you are half guided half master of your movements. it is really sensational to be able to race and jump any and everywhere or close. the thing now is at first you might jump to your death. you have to get used to your movements and how to make the char do what you want.

when you paid 3bucks for a new game you like it better than i you pad 20 or 15 that may be why i'm not bitter about that game. i do look out for enslave but i'll have to wait more than what i waited for ac1 to drop in price (one year or so)
poor side story or not enough of them. well, play ac2 for a much better much complete experience.it does feel like a fine **** left hanging....that is to bad, you think they would be correcting it in the 2nd game but i've been playing it and so far... it is still a bit stiff... in anycase play it from a used copy if you are like me: picky.
strange that occidental devs understand tenchu way better than japanese ones...hmm, kojima?

the only thing missing from the game: a female char. ac 3?

No more activity

i like gamespot, i really do, but the kids are way too many on this website. so many that one have to selfcensor the words purged from the brain.

why would i censor my words? because of the term of use policy.

i'm not at work. i'm not in a family whatsoever and there is a program programmed to cut down any 'offensive' word. so why should....oh and i don't think i HAVE to talk too much about this do i?

i might get my points cut too... right. just fortalking about the club ? then so be it. i'll be a leech and that will be it.

i'll come to check around but that is it.
