Rock band is getting a new line up of guitars from Mad Catz (See http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/puzzle/rockband/news.html?sid=6184297 for the article)

I don't like Mad Catz stuff in general, but this is what I was saying about Guitar Hero and y it is not good. It has no peripherals. While although the current Rockband ones might not be good, think about what will happen when awesome companies get their hands on something like this. It will completely blow away Guitar Hero. Other news that will help promote Rockband over Guitar Hero. Standalone versions of the instruments will soon be available. (In the first quarter supposedly) That way people don;t have to cough up the mega dough for the full version. Guitars are supposed to be $54, drums $64, and mics $30. There are also supposed to be wireless guitars and drums soon.

Note that I do not judge PS3 games as i do not have a PS3, and that just because it is innovative does not mean it is good.

3. Halo 3 (because it is the first console game that I have found that allows player map editing, plus multiplayer)

4. Asassin's Creed (Free Jumping and unque control layouts)

5. The Wii (not new, and not a game but still uniquely innovative)

6. All Wii games involving the new controller such as Warioware.

7. Timeshift (for being the first to effectively use the time warping ability)

8. Super Mario Galaxy (just kidding)

9. Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction for being the first effective open world fps)

10. Halo: Custom Edition (not for game but all of the incredibly strange maps)

Ok, here is my beef with Nintendo. Look at all the games that they directly create. Do you see a pattern cause I sure do. Mario ......, Sonic ......., Link......., Mario and Sonic ........ They haven't come out with anything new in forever. Not that those games are bad, but Nintendo needs some new heroes. These characters have been drug through the mud, and are ruined. Mario now has a DDR FOR PITY'S SAKE!!! MARIO IS NOT A DANCER!!!! I think that Link needs to go back to what he was before he became a band-camper. Have you seen the Windwaker? Link used to be serious. He was like Beowulf in kid form. Now he looks like a Cartoonnetwork show!
