Seeing The Last of Us in Pittsburgh was great. "The Pitt" DLC also takes place here (obviously lol).

Resident Evil Code: Veronica. The setting and gameplay are just brilliant survival horror.

These Amnesia games look incredibly awesome. Hopefully they release a console version sometime in the future.

So many good times were had with the older TimeSplitter games. Can't wait to play the new one.

The only game I'm really looking forward to on the Wii U is Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (mostly because original composer David Wise is back). As I said before though, my selfishness kinda wants Nintendo to fail in the hardware industry so they can become a 3rd party developer.

Really does depend on the game. Nier was one of my favorite games of this gen and that thing looked (and quite frankly sometimes played...) like ****.

Not level 10The quality of game that Valve makes makes me admire them. Their games are those that not only are great when they first launch, but years down the road

___

Since this is a Valve thread I'll say their weakness as well: Valve does not make their own games. Every series, if I'm not mistaken, save for Half-Life, was originally built by someone other than Valve.

Doh! Just noticed the rule about being level 10. Sorry about that mods, feel free to shut down the thread.

Honest question, not trying to troll. I've played most of the Valve games throughout the years and I never understood the hype. Good games, but I never felt they were as godly as people made them out to be. To those who admire Valve as a developer, what about their games do you admire the most?

I thought it was a masterpiece up until the disastrous original endings. Then they released the Extended Cut ending which provided a comfortable conclusion to the trilogy for me. I still have a few questions about the Reapers but Shepard's job is finished and that's all that matters.
