4-Year Anniversary

I just noticed, my 4-year anniversary was last monday. Time goes by so quickly, doesn't it? Well, I've clearly enjoyed those years here, and some more are waiting behind the door.

The Final Stretch

Ladies and gentlemen, we're at just 8 days (yes, 8 days!) for what I think it's gonna be the Game of the Year: Gears of War 3.

Since the last month, I've been working very hard to earn my wings (lv. 100, for those who have no idea of what I mean) in Gears of War 2, so I can unlock the Golden Skin for the starter weapons in Gears 3, today I made it to lv. 90, and reaching 100 is my objectivo for this one last week and start playing Gears 3 with the right foot, and the right bling of course.

Seriously, I've been waiting for the third installment since, let's see... its announcement? :P and And after getting to play the beta, I just wanted more and more, maybe because it was awesome hands down!

So, how about you? Is there, or has there ever been, a game you've been waiting for for very long time and the excitement doesn't fit inside you anymore?

Guess that's it for now, I might post something else when the game comes out, I'm planning to write a review for it (which would be my first, it's worth the time).

Till next time.

In Waaaaaves!!

In Waves cover

Trivium's new album "In Waves" was finally released today in America, luckily I had preordered it through iTunes. The album is, in few words, amazing! I loved most of the tracks, and sounds cleaner than their previous releases. Sadly, the sound's a bit generic, but overall it's a really good record from them. I had already heard some of the tracks before, the ones they released a bit earlier, among them the title track, which so far is my favorite along "Built to Fall", "Dusk Dismantled", and "Forsake Not the Dream". Click here to listen to the title track.

On another note, I won a Golden Hammerburst for Gears of War 2 and 3 last weekend, just missing the Lancer :D

That's it for now, see ya!

Hoarding the Horde

What's up people, writing one more post after a while.

Regarding the post's title, chose it because I just owned the Horde in Gears of War 2 (beat the 50 waves for the first time!!!!) at the Gold Rush map (you can Google it or watch in YouTube), of course with some help from random people joining during our progress.

The first 10 waves were relatively easy, no one diedand stayed together to beat the Locust easier. More of a warm-up.

Waves 11-20 were more complicated, there indeed were some "casualties", and even had to restart some waves, but made it through.

Waves 21-30 were far harder, those grubs were way sturdier and harder to kill!

Waves 31-40 are hard to explain due to how hard they were, we even had to start covering the Locust's way with a BoomShield barricade (for those who don't know the game that well, these shields can be deployed on the ground t make walls) and start our standoff.

Last waves, 41-50 were just like the Alamo, we had to start our standoff way earlier, have to admit that was one epic firefight! Never thought such a war could be so fun! Luckily, from here on, we worked more like a team, hardly someone died, and we arose victorious! :D

So that's pretty much all of it, just wanted to share this warstory with everyone :P Have to admit that was the most awesome game round I've had in my life! I was beyond thrilled!

Well, that's it for today. Thanks for reading and good night, see ya everyone!

Holy S**t!!! :D

I just had the wildest eyegasm I could ever had! A few minutes ago, thru their Facebook page & website, MEGADETH ANNOUNCED THEY'RE COMING TO GUADALAJARA IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!! (jealous kais? :P) I was planning to go to Judas Priest, but now I'm goin' to this one instead! Maybe I can even get my guitar autographed!?

...That's it. :D

Let's Dance the Toxic Waltz

Well, as of my previous post, I got myself in a bet, no XBox for 1000 bucks, which I already won >:D but that's not the point of this post. The bet opened me some free time to listen to more music, which led me to get some new material on my hands:

Exodus' "Fabulous Disaster"

Fabulous Disaster

A pretty good album by Exodus, in my opinion. My favorite song off from it has to be The Toxic Waltz (yep, from here comes this post's title :P ). I'd give it a 8.

------------------------------

Machine Head's "Supercharger"

Supercharger

I don't get why this got such critics, from what I've heard. Maybe not their best, but this album has really good material, I already found some new favorites already! My fav tracks so far are Bulldozer, Crashing Around You, and Supercharger. I'd give it a 9.

------------------------------

Sodom's "In War and Pieces" (Yeah, maybe a pun for "in war and peace")

It's because of material like this that made Sodom one of my favorite bands. My favorite tracks? In War and Pieces, Through Toxic Veins, and The Art of Killing Poetry. I'd give it a well-deserved 10 :D

I think my next purchase will be Sepultura's new work, "Kairos", even though the band's just not the same as it used to be in their early years.

In a different note, going back to the beginning of this post, my bet's over and I'm back in XBOX Live, in case anyone wanna hit me for some Gears of War 2. I think my Gamertag is somewhere in this page?

...Yep, guess that's it for now.

Smell ya later. Let's keep dancin' the Toxic Waltz ;)

Of Vacations and Bets

Well, I've been out on vacation since June 9, it's cool to be finally F-R-E-E after being drowned in a sea of school projects and an overload of lazyness to do them. Currently I've been hitting on Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and Modern Warfare 2 (Reach was my cousin's he took it back in May, and my MvC3 broke (stupid box...)), practicing more guitar (I'll have to either play full covers or compose my own material for my Guitar (Extracurricular) Class (I could choose between acoustic or electric Advanced class, of course chose electric), still thinking on what songs to play (metal, of course!!) (you can see the groups I listen to in my Last.fm profile).

As of yesterday I'm in a bet with my cousin: I play no XBOX for a month for $1000, which I plan to use for a ticket for Judas Priest's concert here in Guadalajara, and a case for my electric guitar. At least I have over 22gb of music in my iTunes that'll help me overcome this torture. As of now I've heard 5 complete CDs:

-Children of Bodom's "Are You Dead Yet?"

-Megadeth's "Rust in Peace"

-Machine Head's "The Blackening" (MY FAV CD)

-Arch Enemy's "Khaos Legions" (Which is friggin' awesome)

-In Flames' "Sounds of a Playground Fading" (Excellent as well)

I'm now listening to Exodus' "Exhibit B: The Human Condition", I might start the random player after that.

...So yeah, it's gonna be one ominous month without headshots and grenade sticking (what a killjoy...).

...And got blue flames for Reach from Bungie :3 (I LOVE U Bungie!!!!!)

Guess that's it for now, till next time. Can't wait for the next episode of Arby 'n' the Chief and Red vs. Blue!!

Let there be blood... and gaming?

My Thoughts on E3 so far

Yeah, didn't get to see the E3 show at all, but got to see some quite interesting trailers at YouTube, and gotta say Microsoft's bringing some nice stuff (games). Nintendo's still good too, just doesn't get my attention anymore though. So this are my thoughts for this year's E3:

  • Halo: CE Anniversary: I already had read the first announcement months ago, and I'm really looking forward to this! I loved the first Halo, so I hope I can get the same feeling from the remake. Nice way to bring some childhood nostalgia :)
  • Halo 4: Somehow, I saw this coming, after watching Halo 3's ending. Kinda looking forward to this too but, well, the changes between games were way more drastic between 3 and 4 than what I saw between CE and 2. Still looks pretty cool.
  • Gears of War 3: Definitely what I'm looking forward for the most! I played the beta and it was beyond amazing! I liked the new weapons and executions, and weapon customizing sounds pretty neat (and it is!). I'm obviously making some savings for this!
  • WiiU: ...Seriously? Maybe Nintendo won this year with this but... uhh why would I want to have 2 screens to play with? I'd say it's not nonsense but I hate lying. I mean, it's just a fatter Wii and a humongous controller...just like if it was a big, 1-screened DS. Remembers me of how the iPad is a giant iPod Touch. Yeah, it's good if someone hogs the T.V. but, why to have what would technically be 2 consoles as 1? Not trying to offend anyone who liked the console, this is just my opinion about WiiU (sounds like whew or why you or with you or "we, you"). At least it doesn't render the Wii Fit useless.

School: Big Help or Big Kick in the Butt?

School's eating me alive like a hannibal!! @_@ Like, well it's good because of my friends, Guitar class, other classes I actually enjoy and stuff, but IT'S KILLIN' ME, YOU KNOW!?!? they leave you homework as if it was urgent to do it, and it's a @#!$%&* lot!, annoying classmates, and being out at 3:15 my time on thursdays, and I live at 30 minutes far from it, which makes it suck even more!, also, well I really enjoy Guitar class (yes, I'm guitarist, for those who didn't know, I'm into Metal in general), but it's at @#$%&*~ 7:30 am in SATURDAY!! Dx Yeah high school's taking the best from me. Before any questions about my age, I'm a 17er in HS, school's different in Mexico than in USA and stuff, you know.
