Another thing to add: hooking up a PS3 can be little complicated so you may wanna do a little research on that since you hook it up via HDMI only or HDMI and optical cable. I haven't got a ps3 so I'm not sure. For a 360 though, you will want to hook it up to the system via optical cable since the 360 HDMI only outputs stereo sound.

Onkyo is a very well respected name in the hifi world. My own setup is a seperates system: a Onkyo TX-SR705 (I bough it for ~£500) hooked up to 7 Tannoy Custom speakers plus sub (~£800) with lots of expensive QED cables. The sound from it is absolutely fantastic. The system you linked to looks like an 'all in one' system but with the Onkyo name on it you can bet it'll be very very good.

One word of advice though: you need to do a little research in av specific forums on best set-up, sound modes etc.

Hi all,

I'm getting a psp (3000) and was wondering how I would get downloadable games from the psn store onto it (not getting the GO as I have already have bought some physical games). I tried browsing the forums and looking at the sony website but couldn't find any clear, concise information, so I'm appealing to the help of the community; you guys. Ok here goes:

1) I have a wireless network at home. Do I just access the network from the psp unit and then go to the psn store to buy games? or:

2) Do I have to link my psp to my PC and download the games onto my PC and transfer it to my psp? or:

3) The same as above but using a ps3 instead (though I haven't got a ps3 yet)?

If anyone has got any other information such as what features are avaiable if I get a PS3 as well that would be great too. Thanks in advance guys.

Hi,

I am wondering whether some of you PS3 owners can help me - now I know the PS3 can output the new advanced audio codecs (Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio) through HDMI when playing a Blyray movie (if the movie disc has those encoded on it), but what I don't know is whether the games themselves use these new audio formats.

I haven't got a PS3 (yet) and I was hoping if some of you can check the back of the game boxes (I am particularly interested in Heavenly Sword, COD 4 and Assassin's Creed) and see if they support those formats or just the standard Dolby/DTS 5.1. Thanks in advance

Well I'd have to say that Sonic the Hedgehog was inspiration for me to become a semi-pro runner. My first video game experiance ever was when my cousin showed me Sonic 2 on the Genesis. Since then, Sonic has been one of my favorite franchises of all time (depressed about the new games though, except Rush) and seeing this cool, blue dude speed across the screen made me want to be like him;just running really fast, whether for competion, practice or just for the hell of it.

For ok single player, but good co-op and multiplayer, both Halos. For awesome single player, The chronicles of Riddick.I haven't played Far Cry yet but its supposed to be really good.

I'm a going to go ahead and give an opposite opinion:I'm a fan of action rpgs but Idid not like this game. I found the dungeons sections far too long (and the fact that they are randomised made more tedious for me) and the combat system felt like a poor-mans Zelda. Not to mention that I found the enemies to be rather bland in design and also the fact that your weapons break/need repair which I didn't like at all considering in so many video games I'm so used to having a sword that I don't have to worry about breaking. The music is one of its strong points however, and in *some* places so is the art-**** People praising the graphics may be doing so for its artistic merits (despite some rubbish, bland designs here and there - mainly the dungeons and enemies), since it is an old game so I doubt its gonna impress you with polygons. Also I hated the rebuilding the villages bit - hated it! Overall I just felt that the game was too tedius in places, had an overly complicated weapons/ungrade system, and did not have fun combat (hard to pull off when imitating the Zelda combat engine). I can understand why people liked the game, but honestlyI did not enjoy it at all. If your inclined to agree with any of the points I've made then don't buy this game, or at least borrow it from someone to try it first

hello everybody ,

i have xbox for 4-5 years and i'm very disappointed about the fact that i don't have any more new games , i hear that microsoft ignore the old console beacuse the new 360 .

Is that right that we never see a new games for our old console??

IDn1984

Yep, thats just how the industry works, the big 3 (sony, nintendo and microsoft) release their platform/console, support it for about 5 years with games, and then move on by releasing a newer more powerful/ more innovative platform. If your still looking for xbox games I'm sure that there are many good games you haven't tried yet, so check out the recommened games thread

i don't like it, I've seen much better fan-made box arts. Kind of a shame that fans of the game can produce better box art than the creators themselves
