The game is better than LoL but requires some thought to play which may turn off some people.

Cost, maybe. Last year I spent ~$1500 on a new PC and I'd say it was better spend than me buy another console (I only have 360 and I'm not really interested in other consoles atm). As far as reselling games, you can still sell them to people privately but you know how easy it is to pirate PC games, right? Thats the reason why they don't resell them. Also, Blizzard thing is questionable because their games are not what they used to be.

Not really surprised. Console FPS games have been mediocre for a while now... :(

Back when I was really into achievements I had the pleasure (LOL) of beating Superman Returns and Eragon. Whichever one is worse however, I have no idea as they are both equaly as bad in my eyes.

Personally I hate games that require some client to run. Over the years I've gotten over steam but I refuse to ever install origin on my pc.

Most likely because people still think that the game will be as good as CoD4 was.

So I have a beast PC (https://secure.newegg.ca/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=16956072)So I'm wondering if there are any good games that came out recently (or older) that you guys would suggest. Currently I only play StarCraft II on my PC and would like some game to play when I don't want to play StarCraft. I also have installed Halo, Halo CE, Halo 2, CS1.6, CSS, and TF2. I don't want to install Origin or anything like that (have steam installed). I'm pretty much up for anything, just looking for a good game to play.

EDIT: Please no CoD (the only 1 I would get is CoD4 which I think I will). Also, preferably single player games. Thanks!

Haven't bought a game since MW2 came out, and even then 95% of the time, i play halo 3.
