Ouch.... in the comparison, it seems even more obvious to me than when I am playing, that gears original had better lighting and art direction. The rain, and darkness set the mood incredibly, with those few lamps being bastions. Gears 2? Everything looks.... somehow less detailed, and it all sunshine, and literally in a few watery locations, rainbows. I like the new gameplay. However, I want the old art style back.
