I just watched this movie, which stars Gary Oldman (always fantastic), Jean Reno (also fantastic), and Natalie Portman in her movie debut (at the age of thirteen no less).
This is a movie about a hitman (Reno) who lives almost entirely for his work, which he does without feeling, until one day he rescues a young girl (Portman), who he trains to be a hitman, and they start to form a relationship which should be kind of creepy, but isn't, because of the skill of the actors and director/writer (Luc Besson - Fifth Element, La Femme Nakita).
The movie has a few very well done action sequences, and a lot of well written and directed (not to mention acted) scenes showing the aspects of Leon and Mathilda's relationship.
While not necessarily and Ideal time wasting movie, it was a very good movie, and I would definatly recommend it to pretty much anyone.
PS, I want to mention that Natalie Portman, at the age of 13, in her first movie, is still a better actress than teenage starlets nowadays (Alba, Biel, Gellar, etc)
