It is arguably the best looking "last-generation" game out there. Other games that need to be included in this debate are Resident Evil 4 for the Game Cube and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for the original Xbox. God of War 2 is hands down, in my opinion, the best looking PS2 game EVER to be released. I don't even think that can be debated. I just recently finished playing the demo for the game and I couldn't help to think to myself, "Are you F'ing serious?!?!? THIS is a PS2 game?!?!?! What?" Honestly, everything else on the system looks like crap compared to this game. God of War 2 looks better than a lot of the PS3 and Xbox 360 games that are out right now. I can't believe how they got the game to look SO good and run so smoothly on a 300mhz processor, 32 MB of RAM, and 4 MB of video RAM. It just doesn't make any sense to me how they could do that...My Treo has better specs than THAT for godsake! Is God of War 2 the best looking "last-gen" game out? Honestly, I don't think so. But I don't think there is any question that this game pushes the PS2 hardware to its absolute peak. I think it is the most impressive "last-gen" example of how limited hardware resources than be used with an extreme amount of efficiency to create "next-gen" level games. I'm almost waiting for smoke to come out of my PS2 while running this game...knicknut17
