First off, I'd like to say that Nintnedo really impressed me on Thursday and Friday. I believe this does make up for their latest terrible conferences. (E3 08 stills make me cringe though) The biggest suprises for me were Punch-Out!!, and Mario and Lugi 3. I wasn't suprised about the DSi because it had been previously reported as a rumor on other websites. Nintendo also announced that gamecube titles such as Pikmin and Metroid Prime would be rereleased on Wii. NOA hasn't confirmed GCN titles being ported to Wii in North America though. Hopefully they will next year. I'd love to play Metroid Prime 1 and 2 with Wii Controls. The new Animal Crossing is looking pretty good but I have never played Animal Crossing. Im not sure if I should get this one or not. Yay or nay?

Overall the Nintendo Media Summit was the best thing that Nintendo did since... Well, it's the best thing they did in a while! Maybe a year... or 2. Anywho... After seeing all the games and reading various preiviews I am most excited for these:

3. Okami (Wii) [I've never played it before]

I am finally level 20. I was on level 19 for about a whole year. It's about darn time I leveled up. Also, I will be posting video reviews for wii games soon. Look forward to that.

I live in the Houston Area and late last week Hurricane Ike was making it's way towards us. Galveston and several counties were put under a mandatory evacuation. My county was not put under a mandatory evacuation so my dad decided for us to stay. It hit Galveston on Friday morning and started making it's way towards Houston. I spent that whole Friday with my Dad boarding up windows, going to the atm and securing important family documents. Then at about 8 pm we were done. I went on Myspace and AIM and started to chat with some friends about what they were going to do after the Hurricane leaves. I was also charging my iPod and DS and watching Monk. About and hour later the power goes out. So I go downstairs and light up some candles because it is pitch black in the house. At 11pm I take my dog outside so she can do her business and the wind was harsh. After I came back inside I went straight to bed and did not wake up until the morning. I was the only one in my family who was able to sleep through it. :P

It was about 7am when I woke up and the first thing I did was check the outside of our house and the neighborhood. Our house was very lucky. There was no damage. Only 1 fence went down. Later in the afternoon, I took a walk around the neighborhood to check out the damage. Other houses were not so lucky. Trees were on cars and roofs were torn off. It was very hot outside as well and since I had no power, it was hot inside my house too! To kill my boredeom I played my DS and listened to my iPod. I played Phantom Hourglass, Phoniex Wright and Dawn of Sorrow. My DS ran out of battery life though and I got bored again. My dad had a generator but we were using it on the fridge and a small TV to hear news. That was the end of Day 1. I woke up the next day, which was Sunday, and was sweating in bed because it was so hot in my house. I spent most of the morning with some friends because they offered me breakfeast at some place that was still open. We ended up having kolaches though. =/ Then the best thing ever happened at about 11am. The power came back on in my neighborhood! I later learned that we had no school until next monday. My friends and I called each other and made plans to celebrate our luckiness to survive and to get a week off from school at the same time but those plans were foiled by a 9 o clock curfew in all of the Houston area. ;-; We ended up just crashing at one of our friend's house. This whole week has been rather slow and boring. I download Super Mario RPG on Tuesday and that's pretty much all i've been playing. Basically my week has consisted of riding bikes all over the place with my friends, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Boxing with Friends, Super Mario RPG, and helping neighbors with down fences and trees.

That's all I have to say on Hurricane Ike for now. It wasn't really scary for me because I was asleep through the whole thing. Also, I was prepared. I have about a 2 months supply of food for Hurricane Season. Well, thats it. I'll post some reviews tomorow and post another blog next week. See you later!

The new look of Gamespot looks okay. hmm... Updates... Updates...

Ah! My senior year of highschool just started sometime last August. So far it's been tons of fun and very easy compared to previous years. =]

I think i'll try and make a blog weekly from now on. I know this update was pretty much garbage but I am in a rush and just wanted to log in and see what's going on. I'll write a blog on Hurricane Ike and write a couple of reviews in a few hours.

Level 19 already? Why did Level 17 take so long to get past? :P Weird. Snake owns btw.

...I wonder what other modes they will have. I know Free-For-All and Team battle are a must but is that it? I bet you there will be a co-op Subspace Emissary. That would own so much.I am glad they finally confirmed wi-fi. I was starting to doubt the power of Sakurai :P Oh andI am totally making a Justice League/ SSBB parody with the clips from SSBB. Watch out for that! :P

Yep. I finally made it. That took a while... This week started off horrible. I feelvery sick right now. I can'tthink straight. :(

I posted the Metroid Prime 3 preview like I promised. Im sad that I beat if all the way already. ;-; Its so fun. On a different note: My school year is going to suck. I did'nt get any electives I wanted and everyone in my class are boring. I have to make the best of it though. :(
