This is where practicality steps in. I have myself a pc that was amazing 2 years ago, but now its a dying breed. Consoles on the otherhand, I have a N64 WHICH DESTROYS EVERYTHING! Haha, just kidding. Anyways all I can say is that Pc gaming can be expensive. All the upgrades and hardware changes can be a hole in your pocketbook, but at the same time can give you an advantage over the console. But say you spend a good 400$ on a 360. So? What do you do now? You pay for you live fee and thats just about it, but when tragedy strikes, Uber Pc's outperform it. But only the uber which cost a good 1500 dollars (yes I am including tax in Canadian). You have to break it down to what you can afford. Another thing is you cannot bring HDTV's into this equasion since they can be either used for pc or 360. Also another point to bring into view is, the next games come out. Say Halo 56 comes out for pc and 360 next year. You have your 360, and only have to buy the game, but say the pc you may have to upgrade to get the max results and beat the 360. I am not pushing sides either way here (at least up to that point), but if you want to know my honest opinion, then I think that (tears streaming down my face) Computer gaming is a dying breed. If you want to keep on upgrading go right on ahead, but again practicality and priority (like Mr. GnomeSmasher said). Are you willing to spend that much time and money into gaming? That is your decision (Biggy cough cough). I remember back in the day when I bought my first pc game for 20$, It was Commander Keen! Just thought I should let you all know that. Soon Microsoft will incorporate a keyboard and mouse into the 360 for RTS's and FPS's. Thats what my moneh is on. I rest my case.
